Responsibilities

The Junior Clinical Outcomes Analyst supports the collection, management, analysis, and reporting of clinical outcomes and program evaluation data for the Butler Center for Research. Working under the guidance of senior research and analytics staff, this role assists with maintaining databases, preparing reports, and supporting data-driven decision making across the organization. This position provides an opportunity to develop expertise in healthcare analytics, research methodologies, data visualization, and outcomes reporting, with a focus on supporting family, children, mental health, and substance use disorder services. Structured training and mentorship are provided, and the right candidate will increase proficiency with tools and methods they may not have previously used. This position includes various potential opportunities for career progression including manualized training in various analytic tools, and the authorship of peer-reviewed publications.

Qualifications

REquired Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, Data

- Analytics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant internship, practicum, or work experience in lieu of degree.

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare analytics, research, quality improvement, data management, or related field. Experience through internships, academic research projects, practicum experiences, or employment may be considered.

- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

- Willingness to learn and/or working proficiency in data analysis, database management, statistical software, or data visualization tools such as R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, or similar platforms.

- Interest in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, mental health, or healthcare outcomes research.

- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to explain information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous internship or work experience in healthcare, research, quality improvement, or analytics.

- Exposure to healthcare data, outcomes measurement, or patient-reported outcomes.

- Basic knowledge of statistical concepts and data visualization principles.

- Experience using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, R, or similar tools through coursework or professional experience.

- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams.

- Familiarity with patient confidentiality and privacy regulations.
