About this role

We are looking for an experienced Job Administration / Production Control Technician to support a government technology environment in New York City.
This role is ideal for professionals with experience in production control, job scheduling, batch processing, mainframe operations, UNIX, or PeopleSoft environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor production job flows using CA Workload Automation DE (dSeries) or a similar scheduling platform.
• Monitor jobs running across z/OS, UNIX, and PeopleSoft environments.
• Troubleshoot job failures and identify the general cause of production issues.
• Escalate critical failures to appropriate technical teams.
• Establish and maintain job-flow dependencies.
• Execute and troubleshoot test flows.
• Document production issues, job failures, and scheduling problems.
• Support batch processes and cycle flows.
• Perform occasional software migrations to production and test environments.

Qualifications
• 3–5 years of related scheduling/production control experience.
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and documenting critical job failures and scheduling issues.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with schedulers, batch processes, and cycle flows.
• Experience with CA Workload Automation DE, z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, UNIX, PeopleSoft, or related technologies is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  
Schedule
3 consecutive days per week | 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
The schedule includes weekends and holidays and rotates between Monday–Wednesday and Thursday–Saturday on a predetermined schedule.
