About this role

As a membership organization, EHA depends on members’ expertise and active involvement to shape its strategic direction and activities. The Membership Engagement Manager helps turn that involvement into sustained participation, stronger member relationships and demonstrable value throughout the membership lifecycle.

EHA creates inclusive spaces where hematologists and other stakeholders can connect, learn, contribute, and work towards shared goals. This role helps translate those interactions into coherent member journeys and value-driven experiences, from onboarding and participation through renewal, advocacy, and re-engagement.

In this role, you will coordinate membership engagement across the member lifecycle. You will use CRM data and member insights to support onboarding, participation, retention, and renewal; work with colleagues to improve member communications and services; and support EHA committees in delivering greater value and impact for members.

Main responsibilities:

- Membership engagement

Use member data, feedback, personas, and journeys to design and continuously improve onboarding, communications, services, and engagement opportunities across the membership lifecycle. Monitor participation, satisfaction, renewal, and re-engagement to demonstrate member value and identify where the experience should improve.
- Membership sustainability and growth

Develop and coordinate evidence-based recruitment, retention, renewal, and win-back initiatives. Build partnerships with national societies and other relevant organizations, explore joint membership opportunities, analyse membership trends and segments, and recommend actions that strengthen EHA’s relevance and sustainable growth across global, regional, and national communities.
- Marketing and communications

Work closely with the PR and Marketing team to plan, deliver, and evaluate segmented recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and renewal campaigns. Coordinate member surveys and feedback activities, test messages and channels, maintain a consistent membership value proposition, and represent or support EHA at relevant external events.
- Committee and volunteer engagement

Support committee chairs and members by coordinating annual planning, meetings, logistics, agendas, minutes, data, and presentation materials. Standardize processes, maintain accurate records and action logs, support effective volunteer onboarding and recognition, and ensure committee insights inform wider membership engagement work.
