Operations Support Specialist - Chesterfield (S44 6AE) - Supply Chain

As an Operations Support Specialist based in Chesterfield, you’ll be responsible for:
- Acting as the first point of contact for local operational system queries and issues
- Supporting and troubleshooting local operational systems, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Supporting system upgrades, testing, and configuration changes in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Train and coach end‑users to support effective and consistent system use.
- Produce operational reporting to support day-to-day activity and decision making
- Identify recurring operational and system issues and feed these into the wider Operations Improvement agenda
This is a full time time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm.
And here’s what we’d like you to have:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand operational data and issues
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain technical or analytical information to non-technical colleagues
- Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office applications, with confidence working with operational data
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement methods such as Lean, Six Sigma or structured root cause analysis
- Relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience in operations, business analysis, data/systems or a related field
