Product Director Identity Solutions
###

Overview
Identity Solutions is building Mastercard’s new connectivity and trust layer that enables credential issuance, acceptance and trust services across digital wallets and the wider digital-identity ecosystem. As European regulation (eIDAS 2.0) reshapes how consumers and businesses identify and authenticate, this is both a major growth opportunity and a strategic priority for Mastercard.
The Identity Solutions team in Europe is looking for a Director, Product Management to define and own the product strategy and roadmap for the Identity services in Europe (EU, UK and Switzerland). You will productize credential issuance, acceptance and trust services so they meet European and UK regulatory, technical and commercial requirements – ensuring the product is fit for purpose in Europe and delivered on time, ahead of the eIDAS 2.0 deadlines. This is a highly visible role that lays the foundation for Mastercard to become the operating system for digital trust in Europe. The ideal candidate is an experienced product owner with deep, hands-on expertise in digital credentials and wallets, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to translate a fast-moving regulatory and technology landscape into commercially successful products.
Role
In this role, you will:
• Own the end-to-end product strategy, including pricing, for the Identity services in Europe
• Define the product requirements to deploy and scale credential issuance, acceptance and trust services across consumer and business use cases
• Build and maintain the product roadmap for Europe, taking the product from pilots through to commercial launch and scale.
• Embed regulatory compliance (eIDAS 2.0 and the EU Trust Framework) into the product by design
• Integrate partner capabilities – including identity verification (IDV), existing eIDs, e-signing and wallet SDKs – and secure access to external trust services as needed (e.g. trust lists and registries).
• Incorporate fraud and cyber risk signals to secure digital transactions by partnering with the relevant teams
• Partner closely with regional and global product, engineering, commercial, partnerships, public sector and market teams to ensure the product meets European customer, market and regulatory needs and is delivered on time.

Key Deliverables
• A Europe product strategy, roadmap and pricing model that reflects regional requirements – customer needs, regulatory, public policy
• In close cooperation with the Global team, ensure delivery of an agreed product roadmap from pilots through to commercial launch and scaling.
• Defined product requirements for issuance, acceptance and trust services reflecting market demand and regulatory environments across Europe.
• Evaluate and establish partnership agreements where needed
• Support sales to commercialise and scale product adoption to meet revenue objectives

All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:
• Bring deep, hands-on product expertise in digital credentials, digital wallets and digital identity – spanning the regulatory, technical and commercial dimensions of the domain.
• Have an advanced track record of owning end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, requirements and pricing for new or emerging products, and taking them from concept and pilot through to commercial launch and scale.
• Understand the European digital-identity regulatory landscape, including eIDAS 2.0, the EU Digital Identity Wallet and the EU Trust Framework, and be able to translate regulation into product requirements and compliance by design.
• Be familiar with the identity ecosystem and partner capabilities – identity verification (IDV), eIDs, e-signing, wallet SDKs, trust lists and registries – and how to integrate them into a scalable platform.
• Have a strong commercial and customer mindset, able to define pricing, value propositions and business cases across consumer and business use cases.
• Be a confident, exacting communicator, able to convey product vision and roadmap effectively to a wide variety of technical and executive stakeholders, and to influence across a global, matrixed organisation.
Desirable:
• Experience with verifiable credentials, trust services and interoperability across wallet ecosystems.
• Familiarity with fraud, cyber and risk signals in the context of securing digital transactions and critical infrastructure.
• Experience delivering products in a regulated, cross-border European (EU and UK) environment.
• Experience working with public sector customers, consortia or large-scale pilots in digital identity.
