Oak Grove: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.
JOB SUMMARY
The IT Technician-Non reports directly to the Sr. Director of IT and helps ensure that the technology needs of the various departments on the property are met. This position will have a primary focus on the operation, maintenance, and support of the property's Audio/Visual systems. The technician will also serve as a member of the IT Team and, when not engaged in A/V responsibilities, will assist with the support of computer systems, back-office and front-of-house applications, telecommunications, networking, and other technology resources throughout the property. #OakGrove
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains, operates, and troubleshoots Audio/Visual systems throughout the property, including televisions, projectors, video walls, digital signage, distributed audio, speakers, microphones, wireless microphone systems, and related A/V equipment.
- Works directly with vendors and technical support providers to diagnose and resolve A/V hardware and software issues requiring escalation.
- Provides technical A/V support for meetings, special events, entertainment, and other property functions as needed.
- Troubleshoots audio, video, signal distribution, connectivity, and control-system issues and performs basic configuration and equipment replacement when necessary.
- Supports and maintains A/V platforms and technologies including QSC, Dante, Shure wireless systems, TriplePlay, BrightSign digital signage, Rockbot, and other property A/V systems.
- Performs routine inspection and preventative maintenance of A/V equipment to identify potential issues before they impact property operations or events.
- Provides A/V setup, operation, troubleshooting, and technical support for property meetings, conferences, entertainment, concerts, and special events, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Assists the IT Team with installation, configuration, and support of computers, printers, telephones, and other technology equipment when not engaged in primary A/V responsibilities.
- Installs and troubleshoots company-approved software and web applications.
- Provides quality customer service to users through problem resolution, process demonstration, and proactive solutions that help reduce recurring issues.
- Educates users to reduce recurring issues by offering solutions to problems in a proactive way
- Provides onsite technology support for the property, including weekend, holiday, and night-shift work as required.
- Supports server-based systems across all departments
- Creates and maintains technical documentation
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Oral and written communication skills

- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the IT department
- Ability to work independently during events or outages while effectively communicating with IT leadership, property departments, and vendors.
- Basic understanding of IP networking as it relates to modern A/V systems and devices.
- Ability to read and understand basic A/V signal-flow diagrams and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues involving audio, video, cabling, networking, and connected devices.
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Two or more years of experience in Information Technology, Audio/Visual technology, or a related technical support role, with demonstrated hands-on experience supporting professional or commercial A/V systems.
- Experience with commercial A/V technologies such as QSC, Dante, Shure wireless systems, TriplePlay, BrightSign, Rockbot, digital signage, video distribution, televisions, projectors, speakers, and related equipment is strongly preferred.
- Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of work experience and education is preferred.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
