About this role

Director of Commercial Sales

Responsible for building and leading Red Cats commercial revenue strategy across public safety, enterprise, private security, mapping, inspection, and other non-DoD markets. Owns pipeline development, channel strategy, key account growth, forecasting, and execution of commercial sales programs across Red Cats solution portfolio.

Core responsibilities would include:

- Own commercial revenue, pipeline, forecast, and bookings targets.

- Develop and execute go-to-market strategy across public safety, enterprise, private security, mapping, inspection, and other commercial use cases.

- Build and manage the reseller/channel network while maintaining direct ownership of strategic national accounts.

- Identify and prioritize the highest-value commercial segments based on TAM, SAM, competitive position, and product readiness.

- Lead major account development, demonstrations, evaluations, proposals, negotiations, and closing activity.

- Work closely with Product and Engineering to translate customer requirements into roadmap priorities and ensure commercial readiness before customer demonstrations.

- Build scalable sales processes, pricing strategies, partner programs, and account plans.

- Maintain accurate CRM discipline, pipeline reviews, forecasting, and executive reporting.

- Develop strategic partnerships with payload, software, communications, autonomy, and integration partners that expand Red Cats addressable market.

- Represent Red Cat at commercial UAS events, customer meetings, partner engagements, and industry forums.

- Coordinate with federal/public safety and defense teams where accounts or use cases overlap.

- As the business grows, recruit, coach, and lead commercial sales and channel personnel.

Ideal background

- 8+ years of UAS, robotics, aerospace, autonomy, or complex technical sales experience.

- Demonstrated success selling through both direct and channel models.

- Existing relationships across enterprise, public safety, infrastructure, or federal civilian markets.

- Experience building new markets rather than inheriting mature territories.

- Strong understanding of UAS regulation, procurement, channel economics, technical demonstrations, and enterprise buying cycles.

- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, operations, marketing, and executive leadership.
