About this role

Amentum is seeking a Contracts Analyst to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC) located at Patrick SFB.

The Contracts Analyst / Small Business Program Administrator supports the administration of the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC) throughout the contract lifecycle. This position serves as a key liaison among Contracts, Program Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, and operational teams to facilitate contract execution, reporting, subcontract management, and small business program initiatives and executive-level support functions for senior leadership and Vice President level personnel.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the administration of prime contracts, task orders, modifications, and subcontract agreements throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Contract Management, Program Management, Finance, Human Resources, and Supply Chain personnel to support contract execution and performance.
- Review and organize contract documentation to ensure contract records are current, complete, and properly maintained.
- Assist in the preparation, tracking, and administration of contract modifications, task orders, and other contractual actions.
- Maintain contract files, reporting requirements, and contract management databases.
- Prepare recurring reports, presentations, metrics, and executive briefings related to contract performance and program activities.
- Coordinate information requests and support customer, internal management, and stakeholder reviews.
- Support subcontract administration activities and facilitate communication between internal teams and subcontractors.
- Monitor contract deliverables, reporting requirements, and key milestones to ensure timely completion.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, guides, and standard operating procedures supporting contract administration activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, reporting mechanisms, and workflow efficiencies.
- Serve as the SFRC Small Business Advocate and promote utilization of qualified small business suppliers.
- Maintain the SFRC Small Business Program and coordinate required reporting activities.
- Support outreach initiatives and supplier engagement activities to expand small business participation.
- Develop presentations and informational materials related to small business programs and supplier engagement efforts.

- Manage executive action items, taskings, suspense tracking, and follow-up activities to ensure timely completion and accountability.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between senior leaders, government customers, program stakeholders, and internal functional organizations.
- Maintain awareness of organizational priorities and assist leadership in the execution of strategic initiatives, special projects, and high-visibility activities.
- Exercise discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive, proprietary, or pre-decisional information.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three (3) or more years of experience supporting government contracts, program administration, subcontract administration, procurement, business operations, or military service in positions such as executive aide, Flag Officer aide, command staff, acquisition, logistics, resource management, or other comparable leadership support roles.
- Experience supporting complex government programs or contracts
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM), Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar professional certification
- Experience supporting Department of Defense contracts and programs
- Knowledge of government contracting environments and contract administration practices including FAR and DFAR
- Experience preparing management reports, metrics, and executive-level presentations
- Familiarity with subcontractor management and small business outreach programs
- Active security clearance is preferred; must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance

Compensation Details:
$65,000 - $75,000 annually
