Amentum is seeking a Range Systems Supervisor for the Frequency Control Analyst Center (FCAC) on the Space Force Range Contract
Typical Duties
- Maintain an interference-free Radio Frequency (RF) environment
- Manage and supervise five full-time frequency controllers
- Provide frequency monitoring and protection through spectrum surveillance
- Ensure all Western Range Emitters are properly documented and authorized to radiate
- Maintain accurate documentation of conforming to Western Range Radio Frequency Spectrum System Policies and Requirements
- Be knowledgeable and have an acute awareness on the technical capabilities and limitations of the Frequency Control Analyst Center and the Frequency Monitoring Station (FMS)
- Stand in and serve as an Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Manager as requested by the USG customer to provide authoritative expertise advice for coordinating plans, policies, procedures and directives to achieve and maintain compatible electromagnetic spectrum for terrestrial, aeronautical and space systems.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five (5) or more years of prior leadership, supervisory, or management experience
- Two (2) years of radio frequency or related systems experience.
- DISA Spectrum XXI Course
- Working knowledge of the capabilities and interconnectivity of instrumentation employed on the Western Range, preferred
- Operational-level DoD spectrum management experience, especially in multi-service or multi-agency coordination
- Experience with deconflicting and scheduling of radio frequency assignments and use
- Strong expertise in spectrum management and wireless communications Radio Frequency assignments
- Federal Certification of spectrum-dependent systems
- Interference Resolution
- Technical Analysis
- Periodic review of frequency assignments
- Deep understanding of RF telecommunications theory, spectrum utilization, and risk-mitigation practices
- Ability to interpret and apply national, international, Air Force, Space Force, and DoD spectrum directives, policies, and standards
- Ability to interpret and apply national, international, Air Force, Space Force, and DoD spectrum directives, policies, and standards
- Familiarity with spectrum databases and tools, including Spectrum XXI; some related postings also value knowledge of Power BI, SharePoint, Confluence/JIRA, and similar coordination tools
- Skill in analyzing impacts of RF technologies on operations, compatibility, and cost-effectiveness
- Experience with spectrum certification packages, DD Form 1494, frequency assignment requests, spectrum supportability risk assessments, and International Telecommunication Union registration
- Skilled at building teams with orientation towards group dynamics to create synergy with assigned personnel constantly evolving task lists, and short mission requirement timelines while balancing stringent contract requirements
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain or maintain a Secret clearance
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual starting salary for this position is between $95,000–$105,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position may be eligible for bonus or long-term incentive compensation awards.
