The Quality Assurance Associate plays a critical role in ensuring that the quality of our finished and packaged products is within specific AQL's and meet requirements as specified. This hands-on position requires collaboration across departments, technical expertise in inspection processes, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. In addition to overseeing inspection of minted and packaged products, this role also supports the die creation process by assisting with die preparation, laser engraving operations, finishing processes, and material organization, ensuring dies meet the same high-quality standards expected of finished production.
The day in the life of a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Associate...
Quality Assurance
- Write/revise documents as assigned.
- Review and approve materials on finished products.
- Review and approve incoming materials.
- Assist in following and training on AQLs.
- Provide real-time training on quality limits with manufacturing personnel.
Die Creation
- Operate laser engraving equipment to produce dies for silver and precious metal production.
- Perform die finishing processes including frosting, polishing, and surface preparation.
- Inspect dies to verify quality, accuracy, and surface consistency.
- Maintain organization and tracking of die blanks, polishing supplies, and related materials.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of polishing equipment and laser engraving machines .
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure dies are prepared for production use.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors degree (Science/Engineering Field, Graphic Design, Digital Design or related field) with 0-1 years of experience in in QA
- Associates degree with 1-2 years of relevant work experience in QA, manufacturing, or precision finishing.
- Highschool/GED with 2-4 years of relevant work experience in QA, or 0-3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production, or precision finishing.
- Relevant education or technical training may substitute for some or all the required experience.
Experience:
- Knowledge of Quality Standards such as ISO 9001.
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience conducting investigations, performing non-conformities and CAPAs.
- Experience with process documentation and record keeping is a must.
- Experience writing and revising SOPs is a must.
- Experience in or knowledge of working with manufacturing processes, production, and administration.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with small, intricate components.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate specialized equipment.
- Experience working in manufacturing, engraving, jewelry production, or precision finishing is preferred, along with familiarity with laser engraving equipment or metal finishing processes.
Computer Skills:
- Medium to advanced skills using MS office Suite
Visual Requirements:
- Close Vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)

- Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
- Peripheral Vision (ability to observe up and down, left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
