We are seeking a full-time Employment Training Specialist to join our Supported Employment Services team in Monmouth County, NJ .
Earn: $22.12 per hour, plus benefits and mileage reimbursement
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week; 8:30 AM-4:30 PM
Position Details
The Employment Training Specialist provides individualized employment training and support to adults with disabilities participating in NJDOL-funded services for the NJCIE grant. The position is responsible for helping individuals develop the skills, confidence, and workplace behaviors necessary to pursue competitive integrated employment and achieve greater independence in the workplace and community. They provide training in classroom, community, and workplace settings, working collaboratively with participants, employers, families/support teams, and other service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing strengths, interests, abilities, and employment goals and develops training strategies tailored to each participants needs.
- Focusing on job-readiness training, workplace skills development, communication and social skills, problem-solving, time management, technology and digital literacy, workplace safety, supported workplace learning, and other skills necessary for successful employment.
- Assisting individuals in applying learned skills in real-world environments, obtaining/maintaining employment, and increasing independence over time.

- Experience working with adults with disabilities, preferably in employment services, vocational rehabilitation, supported employment, workforce development, or related human services.
- Strong case management and organizational skills .
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively .

- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employers and community partners .
