This team is focused on sustaining momentum, expanding impact, and delivering a consistent, high-quality experience for patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and treatment centers. With the support of a global biotech company and the opportunity to help shape the continued evolution of Hematology, this Senior Director of Hematology role will contribute directly to strong performance and delivering innovation for patients living with serious hematologic diseases.
The Senior Director of Hematology - West will lead the field-based customer engagement organization across the current commercial model, including Gene Therapy Account Managers (GTAM) and Hematology Territory Managers (HTM) across Michigan, Texas to California. The incumbent will be responsible for setting strategy, translating business priorities into disciplined field execution, and building the capabilities required to sustain and advance performance. Primary responsibilities include leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing both teams; optimizing coordination across authorized treatment centers, referring providers, and community-based territories; and collaborating with internal and external partners deliver positive customer experiences.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Executes national Hematology field strategy across authorized treatment centers, referring providers, and community-based team members
- Leads, coaches, develops, and manages field teams (GTAM/HTM)
- Ensures strong, compliant coordination between field teams to connect treatment-center engagement, community-based customer needs, and the end-to-end patient journey
- Translates business priorities into clear field objectives, account and territory plans, performance expectations, and measurable outcomes
- Optimizes team structure, geographic coverage, resource allocation, and ways of working to sustain performance and expand patient impact
- Oversee day-to-day field execution, including customer engagement, territory and account planning, coaching, performance management, and cross-functional coordination
- Provides timely verbal and written feedback based on performance reviews, coaching observations, customer insights, key performance indicators, and demonstrated behaviors
- Builds team capability through onboarding, ongoing training, leadership development, and sharing of best practices across treatment-center and community-based roles
- Partners across cross-functional stakeholders to remove barriers and deliver a consistent customer experience
- Uses business performance, customer insights, and patient-journey indicators to identify opportunities, adapt strategy, and drive continuous improvement
- Coordinates and facilitates regular business reviews with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring clear decisions, accountability, and follow-through
- May perform other duties as assigned or as business needs evolve.
- Role models and instills a culture of compliance focused on ethics and integrity in all we do
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understands cGMP, FDA compliance, and Mfr. guidelines
- Experience in working/leading cross-functional teams to coordinate and execute plans and projects across relevant stakeholders(s) is strongly preferred, e.g., Account Management, Medical
- Exhibits strong leadership skills in coaching and motivating others under direct supervision and within matrix environment; demonstrated leadership in driving change.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
- 12 years’ experience of the equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7 years’ experience in healthcare industry
- 3 years people management experience

Pay Range:
$228,000 - $342,000
Disclosure Statement:
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
