Job Summary
The Senior Director, Global Commercial Contracts oversees global sales contracting function for the Acute Care Technology division (ACT). This role leads a team of contract professionals responsible for negotiating, drafting and administering revenue-generating commercial agreements worldwide. The Senior Director partners closely with Legal, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Compliance to ensure contract practices align with business objectives, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations. This position will also be responsible for building a contracts organization capable of handling a variety of contracts in addition to revenue-generating contracts. Reporting to the Executive General Counsel for ACT, the position also drives global process standardization, operational excellence, risk management, and team development.

Essential Functions

- Lead and develop a global team responsible for drafting, negotiating and administering sales contracts and responding to bids and tenders.
- Establish and maintain best-in-class operating standards, procedures, service levels, and performance metrics for the Contracts organization.
- Provide strategic guidance on contract drafting, negotiation strategy, risk assessment, and contract interpretation.
- Serve as an escalation point within the Contracts group for complex, high-value, and non-standard customer and distribution agreements.
- Managing contracting and contract administration for a global distribution network.
- Implement new processes and procedures to ensure standardization and gain efficiencies in the contracting process.
- Develop a contracts organization able to handle the drafting and negotiation of a variety of contracts (e.g., supply agreements, consulting agreements, NDAs) in addition to revenue-generating contracts.
- In conjunction with the Legal department, review and update contract templates.
- Lead integration of Contracts function for acquisitions.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

- Bachelor's and J.D. degrees required
- NCMA certification a plus
- 10+ years of commercial contracts experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior global leadership role within the medical device, life sciences, pharmaceutical or healthcare technology sector or other highly regulated industry
- Experience with U.S. Government contracting preferred
- Experience with implementing CLM technology

Travel Requirements

- Domestic and international travel approximately 10-15%.

The annual salary for this position is:
$220,000.00 to $270,000.00

This position is eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the company's bonus plan. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
