Monday Night Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery based out of Atlanta, with a distribution footprint across Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina. We currently operate two taprooms in Atlanta, GA, a brewpub in Birmingham, AL, a taproom in Nashville, TN and a full-service taproom and kitchen in Charlotte, NC. In our twelfth year of operation, we are proud to produce a vast portfolio—spanning from small batch New England IPAs to barrel-aged stouts, approachable kettle sours to mixed culture ambers and hop-forward West Coast IPAs.
Monday Night Brewing seeks a taproom General Manager for our Birmingham location - Monday Night Social Club. This is a full-time position, available immediately. This role will report to the Director of Hospitality.

High-Level Goals
- Successfully operate Birmingham-based taproom, Monday Night Social Club.
- Maximize and grow taproom revenue (food, alcohol, merchandise and private events) and profit, with adherence to overall P&L budget goals.
- Build, inspire and effectively lead a high-functioning Taproom team that reflects the marketplace and our core values.
- Develop and nurture a culture of teamwork and accountability, where guest experience is a priority.
Responsibilities:
People
- With support from the People Operations Manager, and Regional Director of Hospitality, oversee all hiring and onboarding of taproom staff.
- Recruit, hire, lead and develop an engaged team, with a focus on hospitality, education, urgency and ownership. Build and maintain a culture that Monday Night Brewing is proud of.
- Understand and ensure compliance with company policy and taproom regulations.
- Understand and ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local food, alcohol, and employment regulations.
Operations
- Achieve revenue targets and adhere to expense and capital expenditures budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all taproom Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and develop new SOPs as needed to ensure quality and consistency.
- Analyze and report timely KPIs. Identify challenges and/or opportunities and act upon them.
- Develop and implement programming and incentives to drive sales.
- Develop community engagement strategies that foster and deepen relationships.
- Ensure administrative responsibilities are performed accurately and on deadline.
- Direct ongoing and emergency maintenance and upkeep of the taproom, including cleaning, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, furniture, décor, draft lines, cooler and other equipment.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales and Regional Director of Hospitality on beer releases, cocktail rollouts, events, programming and hosting retail and distributor partners in taproom.
- Work with Private Events management to successfully staff and operate private events in the various private events spaces within the taproom
- Oversee booking and cleaning schedules for Hop Lodge rentals and Monday Night Camp
- Promptly address guest concerns and complaints.
- Ensure all promotional offers meet regulatory requirements.
- Fully manage staff and all operations for both public and private events.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of bar or restaurant senior management experience, in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of hiring, building, and growing strong and diverse teams.
- Business acumen, including the ability to identify insights from P&L and KPIs to build actionable plans and drive results.
- Dynamic, action-oriented team player that is self-motivated and confident in making independent decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- High sense of urgency and energy.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS and back-office systems.
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google docs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb, lift, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 60 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment.
- Uses repetitive motions.
- Can work in both hot and cold temperatures.
Social Media & Marketing
- Coordinate with Marketing Team to create a weekly social media plan for Birmingham social media accounts
- Coordinate content sourcing, photography, copy development and scheduling for Birmingham social media accounts with AGM and/or contracted party
- Assist with display development and execution for taproom marketing campaigns

Compensation:
- $60,000-$75,000, based on experience
- Bonus potential
