Ginger Cove is looking for dependable and compassionate RNs and LPNs to join our Health Center team on a PRN/On-Call basis across all shifts.

As a PRN/On-Call RN or LPN, you'll provide essential nursing care and clinical support to our residents while working alongside a dedicated team committed to exceptional care, safety, dignity, and quality of life.

What You'll Do:

As a PRN/On-Call RN or LPN, you'll provide direct nursing care and clinical support while ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

- Provide direct care to residents, including personal care, feeding, medication administration, treatments, and other nursing interventions.

- Complete regular resident rounds and monitor residents' condition, safety, comfort, and overall well-being.

- Receive shift reports and provide thorough reports to the oncoming shift to ensure continuity of care.

- Assess residents' conditions and needs and communicate changes or concerns to the appropriate members of the care team.

- Receive and transcribe physician orders and ensure medications and treatments are administered as ordered.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of resident care plans using restorative and rehabilitative nursing principles.

- Administer medications and perform professional nursing duties within the appropriate scope of practice.

- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, medication records, and narcotic records.

- Provide emergency care and promptly notify physicians, family members, or resident representatives as appropriate.

- Accompany and assist physicians with resident examinations and communicate changes in resident condition or unusual observations.

- Review care plans, medications, treatments, stop orders, and prescriptions to support safe and effective resident care.

- Respond to telephone inquiries regarding residents and communicate information appropriately.

- Monitor equipment, supplies, and inventory and request supplies as needed.

- Maintain the nurses' station and medication preparation areas in accordance with applicable requirements.

- Follow Ginger Cove policies and procedures and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

- Complete required compliance, HIPAA, and annual training.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

- Current license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Maryland.

- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain prior to employment.

- Knowledge and experience working with senior communities in a long-term care facility.

- Experience caring for residents with Alzheimers and/or dementia.

- At least one year full-time clinical experience in a Home Health agency or related community health program.

- Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, family members, doctors, and co-workers.

- Ability to organize, supervise, delegate and provide leadership.

- Computer literacy.

- Must have completed or be willing to complete educational requirements imposed by State regulations within the specified timeframe.

- Must present self in a professional manner, display genuine concern for elderly, and use tact in dealing with others.
