Job Description Summary
The PRN Registered Nurse (RN) is an as-needed position responsible for supporting the daily operations of an intravenous (IV) therapy clinic while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This role provides clinical expertise in the safe administration of IV infusions, wellness therapies, and other prescribed treatments, while ensuring adherence to established clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards. The PRN RN serves as a clinical resource to staff, promotes an exceptional patient experience, and assists with clinic operations as staffing and patient volume needs require. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as hours are not guaranteed and are based on operational demand.
How will you make an impact & Requirements
Operations & Compliance
- Support clinic operations as needed, including maintaining efficient patient flow and assisting with inventory management and supply ordering.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, company policies, and all applicable healthcare regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support efforts to enhance clinical workflows and patient outcomes.
- Assist in maintaining medical equipment and ensuring treatment areas are properly stocked, organized, and ready for patient care.
Patient Experience
- Deliver exceptional patient-centered care through professional, compassionate, and courteous interactions.
- Provide patient education regarding treatments, procedures, and post-treatment expectations.
- Address patient concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when appropriate.
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for patients and visitors.
- Promote patient satisfaction and retention through high-quality clinical care and excellent customer service.
PRN Schedule Requirements
- This position is classified as PRN (as needed) and is scheduled based on clinic operational needs, patient volume, staffing coverage, and business demand.
- Hours are not guaranteed and may vary from week to week.
- Flexibility to work varying days and hours, including short-notice coverage, is required.
