About this role
WSU Tech is seeking an Academic Coordinator to provide administrative and program support for an assigned academic program while supporting the Dean and faculty. This position plays an important role in keeping daily operations organized and ensuring faculty, staff, and students have the support and resources they need.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $23.01 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to faculty, adjunct faculty, coordinators, and lead instructors.
- Maintain calendars, coordinate meetings, and assist with meeting agendas, documentation, and minutes.
- Manage incoming correspondence, emails, and other communications.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties, including answering phones, filing, copying, mailing, and bookkeeping.
- Coordinate faculty meetings, adjunct faculty in-service training, team meetings, and department meetings.
- Prepare, manage, review, and summarize reports, documents, memos, and correspondence.
- Maintain information on the WSU Tech Intranet and adjunct faculty database.
- Manage VISA expenses and travel-related documentation for assigned programs.
- Coordinate purchasing documents, supplies, and invoices for payment.
- Assist with the maintenance of offices, classrooms, labs, and equipment.
- Prepare and submit adjunct faculty load and compensation payments and maintain related records.
- Complete required professional development activities.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Protect confidential and sensitive information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of administrative experience, preferably in higher education.
- Previous bookkeeping and accounting experience.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong math, spelling, computer, and calculator skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with employees and the public.
- Strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
