BAE Systems is seeking a passionate and driven Contractor SAP Security Officer and/or Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSOs) to join our rapidly expanding security team!

Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Ensure adherence to government and company security policies, providing expert guidance and direction to program teams
Serve as the primary point of contact for US Government Program Security Officers (PSO) an/or Special Security Officer (SSO) and collaborate closely with program managers and directors
Oversee security for prime and subcontracts, including developing and maintaining DD254s and providing essential security guidance
Author, implement, and maintain comprehensive program-level security plans, procedures, and instructions
Lead formal self-inspections, track corrective actions to completion, and conduct thorough security audits
Serve as the primary security point of contact for your program during security compliance audits
Deliver engaging security education and awareness training, conduct briefings, and provide classification guidance to employees
Investigate and resolve security incidents
Contribute to a holistic security posture by supporting other critical disciplines, including PERSEC, Physical, Cyber, COMSEC, and Visitor Control
Participate in after-hours alarm response
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior security personnel on policies and procedures
Ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Accesses
Willingness to complete a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CSP)
Serve as a SAP Accountability Officer (SAO)
Perform other duties as assigned Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Must have a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret
- Must demonstrate proven leadership skills, and excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117, DoD SAP, DoD SCI Manuals, and ICD/ICS series directives and standards.
- Possess a high level of understanding and previous application of the ICD 705, to include, but not limited to; intrusion detection systems, access control devices, TEMPEST requirements, drawings/specifications, etc. for DoD and IC customers.
- Ability to solve complex decisions independently
- Interpret and enforce government and company security policies and provide direction and guidance to program personnel.
- Thorough knowledge and demonstrated application of the U.S. Government security standards.
- Interface with program managers and maintain liaison with US Government Program Security Officers.
- Provide prime/subcontractor security support and direction including the development and maintenance of DD254s and security guidance.
- Develop and revise program level security plans, procedures and instructions.
- Provide classification guidance to employees, develop and provide security education and awareness training, conduct security briefings, lead security self-inspections and audits, and investigate security incidents.
- Support to other security disciplines within the SAP/SCI programs to include: Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Assurance (IA), Communications Security (COMSEC), and Visitor Control.
- Ability to apply the foregoing knowledge of government security requirements in a complex multi-level secure environment to ensure program compliance in non-routine situations.
- Ability to work independently to identify, assess & resolve unique security situations with innovative solutions geared to facilitate contract performance within the bounds of security requirements.
- Must have a professional demeanor, good people skills, ability to communicate effectively, and be able to perform in a multi-tasked, dynamic environment.
- Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Preferred Skills and Education
- Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility and a current CI Polygraph
- Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on clear and cogent presentation of complex information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118747 - $201870
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
