About this role

FALCATA is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer (FSE) for the Product Solutions (PS) division, based in Huntsville, AL, Aurora, CO , Arlington, VA , or Bedminster, NJ. This role will provide support for the integration, testing, validation, and field deployment of FALCATA subsystems—including seekers, proximity sensors, and related technologies—onto larger customer and partner platforms.

Falcata’s PS Division provides products and services in the areas of radar, communication systems, sensors, antennas and other electronics systems to the rocket/missile, radar/sensor system, communications, control systems, data acquisition, and signal processing markets. TSC has developed products ranging from board-level, application-specific-designs, to complete, turnkey radar and communication systems. TSC has established a state-of-the-art hardware capability that is well respected by customers in Government and industry.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will combine systems engineering knowledge with practical testing and troubleshooting capabilities across mechanical, electrical, software, and firmware interfaces. This role requires close collaboration with customers, external partners, and internal product engineering teams to resolve integration issues during field or lab testing, evaluate system performance, capture product feedback, and improve future product capabilities.

This position can require travel of up to 40%, including extended-duration travel to customer, partner, government, laboratory, and test locations.

Responsibilities include:

- Learn and apply FALCATA product hardware and software operations, including theory of operation, product usage, and troubleshooting methods.
- Serve as a Field Service Engineer supporting integration and testing of FALCATA subsystems (such as seekers, proximity sensors, and related components, on larger customer or partner platforms) for field testing, customer demonstrations, validation events, and acceptance activities at customer, partner, government, and test sites.
- Provide hands-on technical support across mechanical, electrical, software, and firmware interfaces to ensure successful subsystem integration.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve integration issues in real time, coordinating closely with internal engineering teams, customers, and external partners.
- Develop, execute, and refine integration test plans, test procedures, performance evaluations, and supporting documentation.
- Evaluate customer and test data during integration events using FALCATA product evaluation tools to assess and demonstrate product performance.
- Develop clear, detailed reports documenting product behavior, test observations, anomalies, system configurations, and reproduction steps to enable factory-based troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Communicate customer needs, operational feedback, product usage observations, technical issues, and capability gaps to FALCATA product engineering teams to support product refinement and future development.
- Ensure integration, testing, validation, and acceptance activities are completed on schedule and in accordance with program requirements and customer expectations.
- Communicate integration status, technical issues, risks, and recommended actions to internal stakeholders, program management, and leadership.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and program management teams to capture lessons learned and continuously improve integration processes, test methods, tools, and documentation.
- Travel up to 40%, potentially for extended durations, to support customer, partner, laboratory, government, and field test events.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or related field)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in systems integration, testing, or engineering roles
- Hands-on experience integrating subsystems (preferably RF-based) onto larger platforms, including mechanical, electrical, software, and firmware interfaces
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in field environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% as required by integration and testing activities
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in dynamic environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with seekers, proximity sensors, or similar subsystems in defense or aerospace applications
- Experience supporting integration and testing at customer or partner sites
- Experience with system-level test planning and execution
- Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Prior experience in a lead or mentoring role
