ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a Pitches & Pursuits Specialist to assist the Global Pitches & Pursuit Team (GPPT) with effective pitch development and delivery in a global, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment. The successful candidate will support the firm’s most strategic panel and matter opportunities on a global basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work as an integral member of the GPPT in the production of complex global pitches, and where applicable supporting the Pitches & Pursuits Manager(s) and the Senior Pitches & Pursuits Manager(s).
- Collaborate with the practice area and sector M&BD teams to develop responses to client proposals and pitches in support of the firm’s business development requirements.
- Leverage Hogan Lovells Cadwalader’s best pitch practices to ensure pitch materials are consistently client-focused, compliant, and easy to evaluate.
- Design and develop high-quality pitches for clients in the public and private sector across many industries.
- Own and manage various core responsibilities in the team to maintain accessible, useful infrastructure and resources, such as standard pitch content.
- Research and review relevant market, industry, competitor, and client information to help spot new opportunities and support the preparation of successful pitches.
- Collaborate with other administrative functions within the firm, including the Finance and Compliance departments and the General Counsel’s office, to ensure alignment and gathering of relevant information for pitch completion.
- Work with practice area and sector M&BD teams to identify compelling new ways to improve final pitch product and existing pitch processes.
- Help to identify inefficiencies in the pitch process and develop plan(s) to address.
- Keep abreast of relevant market and competitive intelligence.
- Contribute to broader M&BD projects and assignments, as appropriate.
- Actively support and engage in the firm's Responsible Business initiatives, contributing to our commitments to our people, clients, communities, and the environment.
- Provide support on emerging priorities and undertake additional responsibilities as needed to meet evolving business requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS, ABILITIES & CANDIDATES ATTRIBUTES

- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to write clearly and persuasively for an international audience together with an excellent eye for detail.

- Pragmatic, diplomatic and resourceful, with the ability to adapt quickly to different situations and personalities.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Critical thinker with commercial awareness, a can-do attitude, and a high level of initiative.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM, experience databases, proposal platforms, website/content tools, or similar systems is helpful.
- Familiarity with, and willingness to leverage, the firm’s AI tools.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE

- Four (4) to five (5)+ years of relevant experience in business development, marketing, and/or proposals within an agency or a legal or similar professional services environment preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Degree in marketing, communications or related field is preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK SCHEDULE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Core hours are generally Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. As an exempt position, the role requires flexibility to work the hours necessary to effectively perform job responsibilities and meet business, client, and team needs.

In the Washington, D.C. office, the expected base salary range for this role is $83,180 - $117,420 per year.

This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual discretionary bonuses.  Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm, subject to applicable plan terms and conditions, which currently include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; and paid time off.
