About this role

Job Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst leads process development and enhancement, commercial optimization, and business development analysis to support future growth opportunities. The role is a key resource to the Business Development/Commercial Optimization team. It owns system development, implementation, and administration, drives process improvement initiatives, and sets governance standards for data accuracy and data completeness. The Senior Business Analyst works independently on complex assignments, gives leadership data-driven recommendations, and mentors Business Analysts. This position may include rotational opportunities within the Business Development and Contract Administration teams, where appropriate.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Leads the development, documentation, and upkeep of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for commercial activities and makes sure teams adopt them.

- Gives advanced support to the Commercial Optimization team in contract support, commercial negotiations, contract administration, and financial modeling, including building and owning complex models.

- Serves as the subject matter expert for the CRM and other commercial systems. Leads system enhancements, user training, and adoption across Business Development and related functions.

- Sets and oversees data governance standards. Reviews key data elements, including commercial deal conditions, KPIs, and system performance, and resolves discrepancies.

- Designs, automates, and maintains key reports and dashboards, and turns findings into recommendations for senior leadership.

- Identifies and resolves complex commercial process and system gaps. Manages requests from employees and third-party customers until they are resolved.

- Leads cross-functional projects with Business Development, Contract Administration, Accounting, and Operations.

- Mentors Business Analysts and reviews their work.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership.

- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills.

- Proven ability to manage multiple project streams on their own, set priorities, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft's suite of services, including Excel, Power BI, and Power Automate.

- Experience administering a CRM or other commercial systems.

- Working knowledge of midstream commercial agreements preferred.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or economics.

- 1-3+ years of work experience in data analysis, auditing, process development, or commercial analysis.

Certifications:

None required.
