TRI is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support new product development and ongoing customer projects. This role provides hands-on exposure to customer communication, quoting, tooling, sampling, manufacturing, packaging, ERP systems, and cross-functional project management.

Position Summary
The Project Coordinator supports and coordinates customer projects from RFQ and quotation through tooling, sampling, customer approval, production launch, and delivery. The position works closely with customers, suppliers, engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and internal business teams to keep projects organized, information accurate, and action items moving forward.
Requirements
Job Duties
· Support and coordinate new projects from RFQ through production launch and delivery under the direction of project leadership.
· Review customer RFQs, drawings, specifications, artwork, packaging requirements, and related project information to identify required inputs and action items.
· Work with internal teams and suppliers to gather pricing, tooling information, material specifications, cycle times, capacity, lead times, and other quotation inputs.
· Prepare and maintain project timelines and follow up on milestones, open items, and customer approvals.
· Coordinate project activities related to tooling development, prototypes, samples, color samples, decoration samples, packaging samples, and related approvals.
· Communicate project status, schedule changes, risks, and outstanding questions to customers and internal teams.
· Coordinate artwork, Pantone colors, labels, packaging, and other customer-specific requirements.
· Support engineering and production during new product introduction, process validation, and production startup.
· Ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated to production, quality, supply chain, and suppliers.
· Maintain accurate project records, quotations, specifications, approvals, and supporting documentation.
· Coordinate with Supply Chain on materials, purchase orders, production schedules, and delivery requirements.
· Assist with customer meetings and internal project meetings; document decisions, action items, responsible parties, and due dates; and follow up on outstanding items.
· Identify potential schedule or project risks early and escalate issues as appropriate.
· Support documentation control, recordkeeping, and audit-readiness activities as needed.
· Comply with applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), quality standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
· Support special projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and other operational tasks as business needs change.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Project Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
· Equivalent education, relevant experience, internship/co-op experience, or demonstrated ability will also be considered.
Skills & Qualifications
This is an entry-level to early-career position. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply, and training will be provided.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· A willingness to learn manufacturing processes, technical terminology, ERP systems, and business procedures.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and PowerPoint.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
· Professionalism, initiative, accountability, and a customer-focused attitude.
· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and provide flexible support outside core project duties when needed.
Preferred, but not required:
· Experience with ERP software such as NetSuite.
· Exposure to manufacturing, injection molding, tooling, packaging, purchasing, customer service, or product development.
· Previous internship, co-op, project coordination, or administrative experience.
Position Type
· Full-time position.
· On-site position located in Knoxville, Tennessee.
· Standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
· Reports to the Project Management or Business Operations leadership.
· The position may support additional departments, special projects, or operational priorities as business needs change.
