Job Summary
The Machine Maintenance Technician keeps production running by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and systems. This hands on role works with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, PLC, and robotic systems while supporting preventative maintenance and equipment installations. Ensures equipment is maintained safely and reliably in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable safety requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair production machinery and equipment to keep operations running smoothly
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and keep equipment operating reliably
- Diagnose equipment issues and identify effective repair solutions
- Assist with equipment installation, setup, and adjustments across production departments
- Repair and maintain machine water systems, including leaks and other issues
- Perform routine and emergency equipment repairs as needed
- Maintain tools, parts, equipment, and maintenance supplies to support efficient repairs
- Keep equipment and work areas clean, safe, and organized
- Partner with Production teams to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of mechanical, equipment, or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, PLC, robotic, or automated systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments.
- Self-motivated with a drive for continuous learning and growth.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to clearly read, write, and comprehend English.
Education
- High School education or GED required.
- Relevant technical education, training, or certifications preferred.
Hourly Range: $22.00 - $36.00
