Job Description:
Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Manager, Technical Product Owner, Global Content Excellence within the Content & Marketing Experiences Product Group of Innovative Medicine Technology (IMT) NA & GCSO to be located in Titusville, NJ or Horsham, PA.
This role will provide dedicated global technology product ownership across the Content Excellence ecosystem, with primary accountability for Global Connext content integration and Global Digital Asset Management (DAM).
The Technical Product Owner will establish a clear global technology direction, translate cross-regional business needs into an executable product roadmap, and align regional Product Owners, business leaders, architecture, engineering, quality, compliance, and delivery partners.
This individual will operate with a global mindset and will be accountable for demand, prioritization, roadmap decisions, delivery governance, stakeholder alignment, dependencies, investment planning, and measurable outcomes across the assigned global content portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the global technology product strategy, roadmap, backlog, and lifecycle for Global Connext content capabilities and Global DAM / GCSO DAM.
- Serve as the Global Content Technical DRI for Connext, providing technology direction, cross-regional coordination, integration requirements, backlog alignment, delivery governance, and overall technical readiness.
- Lead Global DAM / GCSO DAM technology ownership, including demand intake, roadmap prioritization, operating-model decisions, platform governance, stakeholder alignment, and coordination of delivery and support needs.
- Partner with global and regional Business Product Owners and Technology Product Owners to translate business objectives and user needs into clear capabilities, epics, features, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Establish and facilitate a single global prioritization approach that balances business value, compliance, risk, architecture, delivery capacity, cost, and regional dependencies.
- Coordinate cross-platform dependencies across the Content Excellence ecosystem, including Connext, DAM / Adobe Experience Manager Assets, Veeva PromoMats / iMR, Workfront, design systems, content data, AI-enabled capabilities, and relevant integrations.
- Work with solution architecture, engineering, DevOps, quality, security, privacy, compliance, validation, and support partners to define scalable solutions and maintain required SDLC and GxP documentation.
- Maintain a well-defined and prioritized global product backlog, ensure features meet readiness criteria before entering delivery, and confirm that deliverables have clear acceptance criteria and definitions of done.
- Guide discovery, assessments, proofs of concept, implementation planning, testing, release readiness, deployment, adoption, and transition to ongoing support.
- Manage technology risks, issues, decisions, assumptions, and dependencies; escalate trade-offs requiring leadership action and provide clear recommendations.
- Develop investment and resource recommendations for global delivery, including internal headcount, external delivery partners, engineering, business analysis, architecture, DevOps, support, training, and licensing needs.
- Define and track KPIs, OKRs, adoption measures, delivery health, platform reliability, and business-value outcomes; use insights to guide prioritization and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate platform-level innovation, automation, metadata, content intelligence, AI readiness, and emerging capabilities that improve content findability, reuse, governance, and speed to market.
- Ensure global solutions support appropriate governance, metadata standards, content lifecycle requirements, permissions, rights management, auditability, and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate the product vision, roadmap, decisions, progress, risks, and value to executive leaders, business stakeholders, regional teams, and delivery partners.
- Coach and influence cross-functional teams through a matrixed operating model, creating clarity of roles, decision rights, ways of working, and accountability.
Qualifications
Required
- BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in technology product management, technical product ownership, business analysis, platform delivery, or a related area, including experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience owning or leading medium- and large-scale technology products or programs from strategy and discovery through delivery, release, operations, and continuous improvement.
- Experience working across global and regional teams in a matrixed organization and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong understanding of Agile product management, backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria, product roadmaps, dependency management, and the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy and complex processes into scalable technology capabilities and executable delivery plans.
- Experience managing priorities, risks, resources, vendors, financial trade-offs, KPIs, and executive-level communications.
- Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to shape and manage ambiguity, establish structure, and drive accountability across multiple teams and workstreams.
- Understanding of security, privacy, compliance, validation, and documentation expectations in a regulated technology environment.
Preferred
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience with commercial or scientific content ecosystems, including content strategy, creation, workflow, review and approval, storage, metadata, reuse, syndication, and measurement.
- Experience implementing or supporting Digital Asset Management, Content Management, Copy Approval / MLR, workflow, content data, or marketing technology solutions.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager Assets / DAM, Veeva Vault PromoMats / iMR, Adobe Workfront, content integrations, metadata and taxonomy, rights management, and AI-enabled content capabilities.
- Experience defining global operating models, governance, intake and prioritization frameworks, and sustainable support models.
- Product Management, Project Management, Agile, Business Analysis, or related certifications.
- Experience leading vendor and systems-integrator partners and managing statements of work, estimates, milestones, and delivery outcomes.
- Ability to take a hands-on approach during discovery, prototype, proof-of-concept, testing, and issue-resolution activities.
