Job purpose
The Site Senior Supply Planner is responsible for developing and executing supply plans for Finished Goods and affiliate-supplied APIs to ensure optimal inventory levels, capacity utilization, and uninterrupted product supply. This role serves as the key link between Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Operations, leveraging Kinaxis and SAP to balance demand, supply, inventory, and capacity requirements while meeting customer commitments and business objectives.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the short- and medium-term supply plans for Finished Goods and affiliate-sourced APIs using Kinaxis and SAP.
- Own and govern the Master Production Schedule (MPS), balancing demand requirements, inventory strategies, manufacturing capacity, and supply constraints across the site.
- Drive inventory optimization strategies, establishing appropriate safety stock policies and inventory targets to maximize service levels while minimizing excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
- Ensure timely material availability by generating and managing Purchase Requisitions (PRs) with the correct quantities and timing requirements for packaging and raw materials.
- Provide strategic planning recommendations to senior leadership by evaluating supply scenarios, capacity outlooks, business risks, and inventory implications.
- Partner with Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehouse, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and Affiliate Supply Chain teams to ensure end-to-end supply continuity and successful execution of business priorities.
- Monitor and report key planning KPIs, including Demand vs. Commit vs. Supply, Inventory Performance, Backorders, and Capacity Utilization.
- Develop reporting and business insights using SAP, Kinaxis, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
- Serve as the key Subject Matter Expert (SME) for supply planning systems, processes, and planning governance, providing training, coaching, and ongoing support to Planning Analysts and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across planning, inventory management, and supply chain processes, driving efficiencies, service improvements, and working capital optimization.
- Participate in and lead cross-functional projects, planning transformation initiatives, and process standardization efforts as required.

Report any adverse event received from customers for company products to the pharmacovigilance department / Drug Safety on the same day or within 1 business day
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Life Sciences, or a related field is required.
- 7-10+ years of experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, Inventory Management, or Materials Planning
within a manufacturing environment is required (pharmaceutical experience preferred).
- Strong experience with SAP and advanced planning tools (Kinaxis preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting and data analytics tools.
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Process improvement mindset with ability to enhance productivity and reduce non-value-added work.
- Strong project leadership and change management capabilities.
- Strong organizational and planning, analytical skills with and ability to adapt to unplanned situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $89,000 to $108,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; RRSP savings plan; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
