The BDS, Business Development & Strategy (BD&S) Customer & Market Engagement function is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences that strengthen relationships, support business growth, and elevate Boeing’s global brand.
As a member of the BD&S, Customer & Market Engagement team, you will provide leadership and support in strategic event planning and marketing efforts for a variety of BDS and BGS programs, both domestic and international. In this role, the Customer Engagement Specialist will focus on supporting customer events within the BDS Vertical Lift business and the Philadelphia site.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supporting customer events within the BDS Vertical Lift business
- Planning, coordinating, and executing complex customer visits, special events, conferences, product demonstrations, site tours, and sponsored functions for U.S. Department of Defense and international customers, Boeing and industry partner executives, elected officials, community groups, local government representatives, and suppliers
- Demonstrating leadership, event project management, marketing, communication, and team-building skills
- Organizing and leading a multi-disciplinary team, including facilities, marketing/communications, graphics, security, transportation, and other partners, to execute the event plan
- Continuously collecting, integrating, and proactively sharing information with all stakeholders to ensure alignment with the plan
- Supporting senior executives through briefings, plan reviews, and development of executive event schedules
- Researching and evaluating potential venues based on customer requirements such as budget, group size, format, site accessibility, aesthetics, and A/V needs; conducting site inspections as needed and recommending preferred venues
- Strengthening internal and external customer and supplier networks
- Providing direction to others to ensure successful completion of tasks
- Implementing logistics for complex and/or highly visible visits and events in accordance with company policies and procedures, branding requirements, business courtesy guidelines, and U.S. and foreign government regulations
- Applying strong knowledge of customer customs and cultures to all aspects of the visit or event, while providing sound protocol guidance and taking appropriate action
- Demonstrating strong business knowledge, flexibility, attention to detail, decisiveness, forward thinking, and a positive approach to change and innovation
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision, meeting deadlines and budget targets, and maintaining effective working relationships and customer partnerships
- Providing on-site management of event resources
- Facilitating process improvements based on detailed analysis of feedback
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience assembling and delivering key briefings both to senior leadership as well as through the organization
- 3+ years of experience planning, organizing, facilitating and/or executing large-scale meetings and events
- 3+ years of experience with managing multiple projects concurrently
- Able and willing to travel domestically and internationally 15-25% of the time
- Experience leading cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior management, customers, stakeholders, peers and partners.
- Certified Meeting Professional, Certified Government Meeting Professional, or other event marketing industry certification.
- Experience developing and managing event related technology including registration systems, event management systems, event apps, etc.
- Experience with working with international customers.
- Experience with contracts and negotiations.
- Level 3 : 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 4 : 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range:
Mid-Level (Level 3): $90,950 - $123,050
Senior (Level 4): $118,150 - $159,850
