What you'll be doing

This Client Support Specialist position supports the U.S. Specialty Deposits line of business; the primary responsibility is meeting client service objectives across the assigned portfolio.  Through proactive client outreach and close collaboration with Commercial Relationship Managers (RMs) and Portfolio Managers, the Client Support Specialist serves as a key resource for addressing client needs.  The role helps ensure a high level of client satisfaction by facilitating the prompt and effective resolution of requests and transactions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

- Deliver outstanding customer service and manage client relationships.

- Process daily client requests accurately and in a timely manner, including wires, cashier’s checks, internal transfers, and account maintenance changes.

- Validate, review, and obtain approvals within delegated authority for day-to-day client transactions, including loan advances within RM portfolios.

- Support RMs with loan and deposit portfolio management by reviewing transactions, providing accurate account information, and making daily overdraft decisions.

- Serve as a liaison between clients, RMs, operations, and other internal support teams.

- Maintain complete and accurate client information within internal databases.

- Resolve loan and deposit-related issues while providing a superior client service experience.

- Maintain current knowledge of Commercial Banking products, pricing, policies, and procedures.

- Partner with Governance & Controls teams (1Bs) to identify, escalate, review, and report fraud incidents in accordance with the Fraud Management Operating Model.

- Detect, deter, and escalate unusual transactions or situations to US AML.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
