Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your project management and supply chain expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and forward-thinking team of professionals.
You'll play a central role in ensuring the smooth delivery of materials and products for one of Canada’s largest public transit transformation projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Installation, and Project Managers), and ensure quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) commitments are met, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of project-specific product deliveries and material management, but also manage industrial processes and mitigate risks. You'll oversee and manage a team of Project Material Managers.
We’ll look to you for:
- Leading and coordinating Supply Chain activities across the project portfolio
- Ensuring alignment between project requirements and Supply Chain execution from tender/project start through delivery and close-out
- Set up & Synchronize Supply Chain processes vs Industrial requirements
- Apply Signalling Project Industrial Review Process
- Ensuring alignment with procurement strategies and project objectives
- Driving project material demand ensuring timely material and product delivery
- Managing Quality, Cost, Deliverable commitments across teams and stakeholders
- Preparing and following up on the supply chain budget
- Deploying supply chain strategy on-site using standard processes
- Animating performance KPIs to ensure operational excellence
- Ensuring employees operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies
Key Missions
- Ensuring timely first material deliveries in alignment with Alstom standards
- Represent Supply Chain in project governance and ensure clear visibility of SC status, priorities, risks and recovery actions
- Establish and maintain the project-specific Supply Chain strategy, governance and management plan
- Ensure Supply Chain requirements and constraints are incorporated into project schedules, milestones and planning
- Drive project material demand and end-to-end retro-planning based on PBS/BOQ/BOM, engineering maturity, supplier lead times and installation needs
- Ensure timely identification and management of Long Lead Items, material risks, shortages and critical purchase orders
- Coordinate Project Supply Chain interfaces with Engineering, Procurement, Industrialization, Finance, Planning, Installation and participating Alstom units
- Ensure PMMs maintain appropriate visibility of project milestones, material requirements, commitments and risks
- Drive project Supply Chain QCD commitments and recovery plans where deviations occur
- Coordinate Supply Chain inputs during tender and project start-up, including material lead times, SC costs, industrial constraints, procurement strategy and delivery assumptions
- Manage project inventory / Hard Inventory governance, including forecasting, WIP/finished material visibility, stock optimization and project close-out
- Ensure project BOM/PBS/BOQ information is available, complete and translated into the appropriate Supply Chain demand
- Monitor Supply Chain deliverables, KPIs, risks and action plans across all project bundles
- Support customer and project reporting related to Supply Chain status and material delivery
- Lead Supply Chain contribution to applicable APSYS, DFQ / Industrial Review and project governance requirements
- Develop PMM capability, establish clear accountability and ensure consistent application of Alstom Supply Chain processes
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
- Promote awareness of Alstom supply chain processes and best practices
- Identify and mitigate risks in supply chain operations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for supply chain efficiency
- Collaborate with Procurement for risk/impact management and supplier selection
- Supervise the availability on time of industrial requirements and related make or buy strategy
- Develop team competencies and managing team performance through feedback and performance management cycles
- Frequent Travel to Kingston, ON

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, Supply Chain, or a related field. Master’s degree is an asset
- 8-10+ years of experience in project material management, project supply chain management, industrial or related experience
- Strong understanding of project Supply Chain, material management, demand planning, procurement and logistics interfaces
- Knowledge of supply chain strategy deployment, Lean Manufacturing principles, QCD (Quality Cost Delivery) and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) practices
- Strong understanding of project schedules P6, milestones and material retro-planning
- Previous direct team/people management experience
- Experience working with ERP solutions (SAP preferred), data quality management, and inventory processes
- Ability to manage budgets and financial reconciliations effectively
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and risk-management capability
- Knowledge of product/system technical requirements and project management practices
- Railway experience in signaling products or projects is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Compensation
The expected compensation for this role is $105,000 – $135,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
