Maintenance Technician

Shift: Second Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical aptitude to join our facilities team. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a large team environment. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with various tools and demonstrate eagerness to expand their skills and grow professionally.

Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure optimal facility operations, including routine preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment, responding to maintenance requests including plumbing repairs such as unclogging toilets and fixtures, performing mechanical repairs on HVAC systems, motors, pumps, and other equipment, completing millwork and carpentry projects as needed, conducting regular inspections to identify potential issues before they become problems, and maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs completed.

Required Qualifications

Experience & Skills:

- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with practical hands-on experience
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and self-starter mentality
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a large team environment

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, and in confined spaces
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
