About this role

Be the one building AI-powered experiences where they matter most.

At Genesys, we help organizations create better customer experiences through AI-powered experience orchestration. Our platform connects people, systems, data and AI to help organizations deliver more personalized service, improve operational efficiency and build stronger customer relationships.

Help build, support and operate technology used by more than 8,000 organizations in over 100 countries – moving AI from possibility to production in real-world enterprise environments every day.

Customer renewals and retention are among the most important value drivers for Genesys, underpinning recurring revenue and long-term growth. As Strategic Finance Manager supporting Renewal Management and the broader Customer Success organization, you will turn renewal, customer, and financial data into budgets, forecasts, and insights that leaders use to plan, measure performance, and advance strategic initiatives.

Your work will help the business understand what drives renewal and retention trends, identify key risks and opportunities, and prioritize resources to strengthen customer and financial outcomes. You will partner closely with Renewal Management, Customer Success, Operations, Finance, Data Science, and go-to-market teams, influencing both day-to-day operations and executive-level decisions.

This role provides visibility into enterprise-level forecasting, customer retention strategy, and cross-functional decision-making at Genesys. You will also help expand how Strategic Finance applies AI and automation to improve forecast accuracy, accelerate analysis, and scale financial insights as the business evolves.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive annual and multi-year financial planning and budgeting, connecting historical performance, business assumptions, and customer trends to actionable targets across renewal and retention metrics
- Lead recurring renewal forecasting analyses using customer-level data to identify risks and opportunities and deliver clear executive narratives on forecast changes, performance drivers, and variances to plan
- Develop and maintain policies and governance processes that establish clear, consistent renewal metrics aligned with business priorities and scalable decision-making
- Partner with Renewal Management to evaluate product and pricing changes across customer contracts, validate key metrics, and collaborate with Data and Operations teams to ensure systems reflect those metrics accurately and consistently
- Deliver monthly renewal analytics that surface customer behavior trends, performance drivers, and actionable insights for Customer Success and executive leadership
- Produce strategic and ad hoc analyses that connect customer and financial data to business priorities, resource allocation decisions, retention strategies, and executive business reviews
- Partner with Finance, Data Science, go-to-market, and Operations stakeholders to strengthen broader company forecasting across the P&L and cash flow
- Apply AI-powered tools and automation to accelerate analysis, strengthen forecasting and reporting, and expand the scale and effectiveness of Strategic Finance insights

Required Qualifications:

- 6+ years of experience across strategic finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), revenue operations, or another finance partnership role supporting go-to-market leadership teams, such as Sales, Renewals, or Customer Success
- Strong understanding of SaaS and enterprise software metrics and revenue drivers, including renewals, retention, and annual recurring revenue (ARR)
- Strong financial acumen, including experience working with financial statements, customer and operational data, advanced Excel, and financial modeling
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear insights, recommendations, and executive-level narratives
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently while balancing analytical rigor with tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal business communication skills, with demonstrated ability to establish credibility with senior leaders and collaborate effectively across functions
- Experience using AI-powered tools to improve financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, automation, or productivity

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, or a similar analytical role, followed by strategic finance or operating experience within a high-growth technology company
- Renewals, retention, or bookings forecasting experience within a SaaS, enterprise software, or AI company
- Proficiency with SQL, Tableau, Snowflake, or comparable data querying, analytics, and visualization tools
