About the Role:
We’re looking for a Summer Intern – CMC Quality Assurance, Clinical Programs on the Quality Assurance Team to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases.

The Insmed Summer Internship Program is designed to give you more than just a glimpse into the pharmaceutical industry—it’s a chance to make a real impact. Over the course of the summer, you’ll gain hands-on experience, contribute to meaningful team projects, and learn directly from skilled professionals who are invested in your growth.

Our 2027 Summer Intern program is a full-time (40 hours per week), 12-week, paid internship. The internship may present opportunities for rotational assignments within the function, and the intern will be assigned goals and objectives that will support the strategic business plan of the company.

What You'll Do:

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to support Quality Assurance activities for Insmed's Phase 1 - Phase 3 clinical programs manufactured at Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).

You’ll also:

- Assist in designing and developing a QA Metrics Dashboard to improve visibility into quality metrics and operational performance Analyze and compare quality systems across multiple CMOs
- Perform trending and analysis of deviations and CAPAs to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities across CMOs.
- Assist in organizing batch records and release documentation in Veeva Vault
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments and geographies (e.g., Supplier Quality, Digital Quality, Commercial) on quality-related initiatives
- Support special projects across the Quality Assurance team, including: Training development
- Policies and SOPs
- AI-driven quality initiatives
- Other strategic projects

Who You Are:

You are a current student  pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biomedical engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field.

You are or you have:

- Strong willingness to learn, with eagerness to expand knowledge of  Healthcare industry
- Interest in pharmaceutical quality systems, clinical manufacturing, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and highly organized with strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.

Nice to have (but not required):

- Prior internship or project experience in Healthcare compliance, Life sciences or Regulated industries (pharmaceutical, medical devices)
- Experience building AI agents, workflows, or applications

Where You’ll Work

This is a fully remote role. It can be performed effectively from anywhere while staying connected to your Insmed team and community. Occasional travel for team meetings or events may be expected.

Pay Range:
$20.00-35.00 Hourly
