PGDX by Labcorp is seeking a Research Associate to join our team in Baltimore, MD!
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st shift
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an extraordinary, highly motivated individual to join our Research and Development team, with a focus on development and evaluation of emerging technologies for tissue and cell-free DNA liquid biopsy approaches. The successful candidate will assess and optimize laboratory-based diagnostic analyses for research and clinical use following guidelines of regulatory agencies for academic, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory based assays for development applications following GDP and PDP
- Keep detailed and accurate records of all laboratory work performed
- Perform quality control and general maintenance on laboratory equipment
- May assist with managing and maintaining consumable and reagent inventory
- Provide general input to the development of plans, programs, processes, priorities, and operational goals
- Support the identification of risks
- Support the verification and validation of product requirements
- Support planning and executing development studies
- Follow established procedures and contribute to team objectives
- Help establish procedures for maintaining standards and consistency in operations
- Help author detailed, accurate, and accessible procedural protocols and records
- Promote quality and procedural improvement process
- Help keep facility neat, clean, and orderly at all times
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related life science.
- 1 or more years of lab experience in industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 or more years of NGS experience
- 2 or more years of CLIA/CAP experience
Additional Job Standards:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Pay Range: $60k - $70k
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
