RESPONSIBILITIES
· Use advanced SQL to extract, manipulate, validate, reconcile, and analyze large and complex financial datasets.
· Develop and maintain financial reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and recurring analyses.
· Support reconciliation of data between the enterprise data warehouse, ERP, payment platforms, and other financial systems.
· Analyze sales, orders, payments, refunds, fees, receivables, payables, and other financial activity.
· Provide ad hoc strategic and tactical analysis to Finance and Accounting teams.
· Investigate discrepancies and trace transactions across multiple systems and data sources.
· Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting and reconciliation activities as needed.
· Develop business cases and financial analyses to support strategic initiatives.
· Understand data pipelines and transformations sufficiently to identify data quality issues and reporting caveats.
· Partner with Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data Engineering, and Technology teams to translate business and reporting requirements into analytical solutions.
· Help improve and automate manual financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
· Clearly communicate analytical findings, data issues, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
REQUIRED
· 2+ years of relevant analytics, business intelligence, finance, or accounting experience.
· Strong SQL skills and demonstrated experience querying, joining, validating, and analyzing large datasets.
· Experience working with relational databases or cloud data warehouses.
· Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
· Strong understanding of foundational financial concepts.
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
· Ability to investigate complex data discrepancies across multiple systems.
· Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to business stakeholders.
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or another quantitative/analytical field, or equivalent experience.
PREFERRED
· Experience working with ERP or financial system data.
· Understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and related accounting processes.
· Experience working with transactional, payment, settlement, or reconciliation data.
· Experience supporting Finance or Accounting reporting and analytics.
· Experience automating financial reporting or reconciliation processes.
· Experience working with large order and transaction-level datasets.
· Experience with BigQuery, MicroStrategy, or Python.
· Familiarity with e-commerce or retail financial data.
· Advanced degree or relevant professional experience in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
