Support Specialist (Onsite)

Position: Support Specialist
Type: Livonia, MI (In-Office) 
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, 401K & Generous Paid Time Off
Schedule: Payroll completed bi-weekly. 
        Payroll Week: Sunday required w/ one day off during the week. 
        Off-Week: Monday through Friday
        Holidays may be required if payroll is being processed. 
  
LaJoy Group is seeking a full-time team member that possesses a high level of detail and customer service to work within a growing (and amazing) team. The initial focus of this position is to assist with payroll, create and audit budgets and the main point of contact to the payroll vendor. Additional tasks as the position grows!
 
Job Responsibilities
•    Create and maintain budgets on a monthly basis for clients. 
•    Assist with ongoing audits include pulling files, auditing completion and accuracy of paperwork.
•    On payroll weeks (biweekly) scan timesheets, complete data entry and auditing to ensure employees are paid accurately and timely.  
•    Main point of contact with payroll vendor for problem resolution.
•    Assist with questions related to W2’s and tax information.
•    Backup to the finance team to initiate EIN and UIN policies.
•    Work closely with the team to implement software, ensuring information is correct. Communicate and train employees on usage.
•    Additional duties as assigned. 
 
Requirements
•    High School diploma or GED
•    Two to three years of previous payroll, billing or accounting experience preferred.
•    Previous experience with ADP preferred.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office, and other Office Applications.
•    Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to relate to internal and external customers and clients, alike, at all levels.
•    Strong organizational and administrative skills, able to multi-task and stay cool under pressure.
•    High level of independent problem solving.
•    Previous experience working with a vulnerable population or customers preferred.
