About this role

Description

Amazon Compliance Safety Services is looking for a Product Manager - Tech to own the customer remediation experience across Amazon's global marketplaces. You will define how Amazon communicates with and protects customers when products are recalled or flagged for safety concerns, ensuring customers can discover, understand, and act on safety information across every Amazon surface and purchase channel. This role owns a portfolio of 20+ features across customer notification channels, verification workflows, and a centralized remediation platform, with direct impact on an SPS-level goal to improve worldwide customer remediation effectiveness. You will work with engineering, science, operations, legal, and UX teams to ship capabilities that protect customers at scale.

Key job responsibilities
-Own the product roadmap for customer remediation, including recall notification delivery, customer engagement surfaces, verification of destruction workflows, and the centralized remediation hub
-Define and drive the product strategy for expanding customer remediation coverage to new channels (in-app, messaging platforms, voice), new purchase categories, and new geographies
-Partner with applied science teams on ML-powered verification pipelines, including image classification, fraud detection, and model quality evaluation
-Write requirements, define success metrics, and make prioritization tradeoffs across a 250+ engineering-week portfolio
-Represent the customer remediation charter in leadership reviews, providing data-backed recommendations on scope, sequencing, and resource allocation
-Collaborate with legal, regulatory, and operations teams to ensure remediation capabilities meet evolving safety mandates across global jurisdictions

A day in the life
You will spend your day balancing strategic planning with hands-on product delivery. In a given week, you might review ML model accuracy metrics for image verification, define requirements for a new notification channel, align with operations on recall case workflows, and present roadmap tradeoffs to leadership. Your customers are both the Amazon shoppers who need clear, timely information about product safety and the internal teams who execute remediation at scale. You will own decisions end to end, from defining what gets built to measuring whether it worked.
