Senior Director - Office Leasing Advisory

What this job involves:

As Senior Director of Office Leasing Advisory at JLL, you'll serve as a strategic architect of commercial real estate solutions for sophisticated corporate clients navigating today's evolving workplace landscape. This leadership role demands both entrepreneurial drive and collaborative excellence as you build and cultivate C-suite relationships with corporate decision-makers, institutional investors, and leading developers across key markets. You'll provide comprehensive advisory services that go far beyond traditional brokerage—delivering sophisticated analysis on lease versus buy decisions, portfolio optimization strategies, market entry planning, and innovative occupancy solutions that align real estate investments with broader business objectives. What sets JLL apart is our culture of collaboration, locally and across the globe, and you'll leverage this powerful network to create integrated solutions that address the most complex challenges our clients face. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way — for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees — and in this position, you'll embody that mission by transforming how organizations think about and utilize their real estate assets. Beyond driving revenue and managing high-stakes transactions, you'll lead and mentor a team of talented professionals, creating an environment where strategic thinking, client excellence, and professional growth flourish together.

What your day-to-day will look like:

- Drive proactive business development initiatives through strategic networking, industry engagement, and cultivation of deep relationships with corporate real estate leaders, CFOs, and C-suite executives across target sectors
- Lead complex, high-value office leasing transactions from initial engagement through successful closure, managing all aspects including market intelligence, financial modeling, site selection, negotiation strategy, and documentation coordination
- Provide sophisticated strategic advisory services including lease versus buy analysis, portfolio rationalization, REIT structure evaluation, regional expansion planning, and comprehensive market entry strategies that deliver measurable business impact
- Develop and present compelling proposals, investment presentations, and market insights that demonstrate deep expertise and articulate tailored solutions addressing each client's unique strategic objectives
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis and coverage assessments to identify optimal real estate opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive positioning strategies across regional markets
- Oversee the creation of detailed financial models, cash flow analyses, and scenario planning deliverables that enable data-driven decision-making for clients evaluating complex real estate commitments
- Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with developers, landlords, and institutional owners to expand market access and create competitive advantages for clients in site selection and negotiation processes
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members to achieve ambitious individual and collective targets while fostering a culture where everyone is empowered to thrive through coaching, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving
- Ensure exceptional client satisfaction through proactive communication, governance excellence, and consistent delivery of high-quality service that positions JLL as the trusted advisor of choice for enterprise real estate needs

Required qualifications:

- 15+ years of progressive experience in commercial office leasing, corporate real estate advisory, or tenant representation with demonstrated track record of managing complex, high-value transactions
- Proven business development success with established relationships among corporate decision-makers, real estate executives, and C-suite leaders in target industries
- Deep expertise in transaction management including market analysis, financial modeling, negotiation strategy, and deal structuring for sophisticated office leasing engagements
- Advanced financial analysis capabilities encompassing lease economics, discounted cash flow modeling, present value analysis, and comparative investment evaluation for commercial real estate decisions
- Comprehensive knowledge of major metropolitan office markets including supply-demand dynamics, submarket characteristics, pricing trends, landlord positioning, and emerging development pipelines
- Exceptional executive presence with outstanding presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills suitable for engaging with senior corporate leadership and institutional stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams in a professional services or advisory environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related discipline

Preferred qualifications:

- MBA or advanced professional credentials such as MRICS, CCIM, SIOR, or CRE designation
- Established network of corporate relationships, developer partnerships, and institutional connections within key target markets and industry verticals
- Experience providing strategic consulting services beyond transactional brokerage, including portfolio strategy, workplace strategy integration, and corporate real estate transformation initiatives
- Track record of cross-functional collaboration and leveraging internal networks across service lines to deliver integrated client solutions and capture expanded wallet share
- Deep understanding of corporate real estate structures including REIT considerations, off-balance sheet strategies, synthetic leases, and alternative occupancy models
- Experience working with international teams, managing cross-border projects, or coordinating multi-market portfolio initiatives for global enterprise clients
- Familiarity with workplace strategy, flexible workspace solutions, and emerging trends reshaping corporate real estate decision-making in the post-pandemic environment
