Position Overview:
The Pricing & Promotions Analyst is the connective tissue for maurices' omni-channel promotions. The role analyzes how promotions perform, maintains and communicates the promotional calendar, and builds the reporting and planning tools teams use to plan, execute and evaluate promotions. It combines analysis with collaboration, working with Planning, Merchandising, Marketing, Visual, Store Operations and Field teams to turn data into clear recommendations they can act on.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Functions:
Promotional analysis and strategy support:
Analyzes how past promotions performed and makes recommendations for future ones
Uses multiple tools and reports (Strategy, Excel promotional recap files, etc.) to evaluate performance, inventory levels and historical trends
Partners in strategic promotional discussions with Planning, Merchandising, Marketing, Visual, Store Operations and Field, bringing a data-backed point of view
Helps create pricing and promotion recaps, including requests for regular price and/or clearance price changes
Asks the right questions, digs into the data and finds insights that lead to better decisions
Promotional calendar ownership:
Maintains the omni-channel promotional calendar and communicates updates to all channels
Gathers all needed information from cross-functional partners so the calendar is complete and accurate
Attends key in-season promotional meetings and follows communication updates so the calendar runs as intended
Identifies promotional issues, escalates them, and works with partners to resolve them
Tools and process improvement:
Builds reporting and planning tools that help teams judge promotional effectiveness, inventory position and historical trends
Develops simple input tools that make it easier for planning and execution teams to work together and move quickly
Identifies process pain points, escalates them, and recommends improvements
Uses AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to automate recurring reporting, speed up analysis and simplify promotional workflows, and validates AI-generated output against source data
Promotional execution support:
Understands the merchandise product hierarchy and the inclusion/exclusion needs of promotional offers
Supports key promotional processes (for example, store sale direction and inclusion/exclusion files) as business needs require
May be cross-trained to help with promotional setup and testing as needed
Education/Skills and Experience Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional work experience, with 2+ years in an analytical role required
Experience in Pricing/Promotions, Planning or retail preferred
Proven experience using data to drive decisions
Strong experience with Excel
Experience with reporting tools (MicroStrategy or similar)
Experience building reporting or planning tools preferred
Prior experience in a fast paced, dynamic environment preferred
Experience using AI or automation tools to improve analysis or workflow efficiency preferred
Skills/Traits:

Pay Range:
Annual Salary: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00
This position is eligible for an annual incentive compensation based on company performance.
