## Job Summary
Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, Axiom, with the spin planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.


## To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Lead Structural Painter in USA Fontana, Ca.

Report to the Production Manager, Lead Structural Painter, is responsible for painting metal bases, steel tube frames, and steel c-channels for our enclosure buildings.

What a typical day looks like:

- Oversee the work of assigned team employees
- Addresses minor discipline problems with team members; refers more serious cases to the supervisor
- Assists with the planning and preparation of training and orientation for new team members in partnership with the training specialist and team trainer
- Applies paint, stains, varnishes, enamels, and other coatings to metal and steel surfaces with brushes, rollers, or other tools
- Prepares surfaces for painting: fills cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers using caulking guns or putty knives; smooth surfaces using sandpaper, scrapers, brushes, steel wool, or sanding machines
- Applies primers or seals to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, finish coats
- Covers surfaces with drop clothes or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting
- Read work orders and blueprints to determine work requirements
- Calculates amounts of required materials and estimate costs, based on surface measurements and/or work orders
- Maintains a clean work area
- Performs other related duties as assigned

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of previous experience in a related field
- Previous experience working in a fabrication shop preferred
- Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix, and apply them
- Solid knowledge of painting techniques and the use of appropriate tools (brushes, rollers, caulking guns, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and provide consistent work.

What the physical requirements are:

- Prolonged periods of standing and painting.
- Must have adequate balance and ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
- Must be able to distinguish among colors.
- Must wear PPE, such as respirator, welding equipment, gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor

The base pay range for this position is provided below. The final base rate offered will be determined using job-related, non-discriminatory criteria, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity.
$21.68 USD - $29.81 USD Hourly
