Job Summary:
The Director, Healthcare Professional Engagement builds and manages the Society's relationships with healthcare professionals, neurology organizations, professional societies, comprehensive care centers, Partners in Care, and other clinical collaborators. The role manages the MHAC, leads the Clinical Care Connection newsletter, and will develop a national network of MS healthcare professionals that informs Society priorities and accelerates dissemination of programs, resources, and guidance. Contributes to the achievement of the Society's four strategic pillars by aligning work, decisions, and partnerships with enterprise priorities and actively collaborating across teams to advance mission outcomes.

- Work is primarily performed remotely, however, when possible and necessary, teams meet in person to conduct the business of the organization and build team relationships.
Compensation | Benefits:
The estimated hiring compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. Final offers will be based on the candidate's geographic location, consider career experience, and may vary from this range due to these and other factors.

Main Responsibilities:
Scope of Role: Healthcare Professional Engagement ( 45%)
- Manage medical affairs relationships with professional society partners, neurology organizations, care centers, and clinical collaborators.
- Serve as lead for advisory committees and related work groups supporting medical affairs initiatives . Activities include: Agenda planning, meeting coordination, deliverable tracking, and other committee support .
- Manage the development of the Clinical Care Connection newsletter . Manage editorial planning, topic selection , contributor coordination, content review routing, and distribution strategy for the newsletter.
- Identify and manage collaboration opportunities with TouchNeurology , NeurologyLive , CMSC, ACTRIMS, ECTRIMS, AAN, and similar partners.
Scope of Role: Healthcare Professional Network (45%)
- Develop and activate a network of healthcare professionals through Partners in Care, comprehensive care centers, and existing Society relationships.
- Gather field intelligence and insights from clinical and society partners to help inform Medical Affairs activities.
Scope of Role: Team Responsibilities (10%)
- Attend/actively engage in training, professional development, conferences, and staff meetings.
- Collaborate across mission and contribute to the integrated mission operations plan.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of all Society and relevant 3rd party (e.g., Komodo) information systems including Salesforce or other Society CRMs.
- Maintain knowledge of MS, current treatments, disease, and symptom management.
- Stay up to date on advances in MS through publications and research.
- Implement and follow National MS Society risk management policies and procedures.
- Participate in professional development activities to improve knowledge and understanding of healthcare systems and provider needs.
- Contribute to team meetings, provide support, and feedback to colleagues.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking for:
- Demonstrated experience managing external partnerships, advisory groups, professional networks, or clinical stakeholder relationships.
- Strong facilitation, meeting management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to synthesize input from healthcare professionals and translate it into organizational priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop clear partner-facing messaging.
- Strong project management and relationship-tracking skills.
- Understanding of MS care delivery or ability to quickly learn the MS clinical landscape.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with medical specialty societies, healthcare professional associations, academic clinicians, or comprehensive care centers.
- Experience with newsletters, community engagement, advisory committee management, or professional education partnerships.
- Knowledge of MS clinical practice, multidisciplinary care, and provider engagement models.
