About this role

Life at BMS

At RayzeBio, every day is an opportunity to ignite meaningful change. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bristol Myers Squibb, RayzeBio blends the nimble, pioneering spirit of an emergent biotech with the global expertise and resources of a leading innovator in oncology. Our mission is to develop transformative radiopharmaceutical therapies that offer new hope for patients living with cancer. Here, you’ll join a multidisciplinary team where your ideas are valued, your expertise is amplified, and collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. From day one, expect to make an immediate impact—on our science, on our teams, and most importantly, on patients. Learn more about RayzeBio:  https://careers.bms.com/rayzebio/

The Associate Director, Data Management and Integration is an integral part of bringing RayzeBio’s innovative drug products to patients in need. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Data Architecture and AI Solutions, you will be primarily accountable for integration architecture and delivery across RayzeBio’s business systems — the interfaces, event flows, partner connectivity, and cross-cutting data services connecting operational solutions to enterprise, manufacturing, quality, and external partner systems. You will additionally own Master Data, including its data model, governance, stewardship, and distribution.

Focusing on but not limited to the commercial solutions to support product commercial launch, where customer ordering, commercial operations, and supply planning solutions must be integrated with enterprise and external partner systems on a fixed timeline. As the portfolio and the organization grow, the role extends to integration and master data needs across other functions, and you will be expected to establish patterns, standards, and capability that outlast any single program.

This is a visible, partner-facing role demanding genuine technical and data depth, as well as business knowledge including but not limited to, commercial, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance. You will own the integration architecture, hold the detail across data models and interface contracts, and lead the design sessions where interface commitments are agreed with internal and external partners. Additional responsibilities include setting and managing budgets, managing vendor statements of work, and working with architectural, IT, and business partners to achieve our commercialization goals.

A significant portion of the early work involves establishing data exchange with external partners, maintaining a clear boundary with the parallel manufacturing systems program, and designing so that validation scope decisions finalized during the build can be accommodated without rework. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating where requirements are still maturing, will distinguish what must be settled now from what can responsibly remain open, and will build in a way that serves both current and future business needs.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, delivery, validation and continuous operation of integration and orchestration beginning with the commercial platform, API management, business rules, event streaming or messaging, schema registry, partner connectivity (EDI, SFTP, API gateway), and master data management — with tradeoffs, cost, and validation burden made explicit and aligned to Bristol Myers Squibb enterprise platform standards.

• Own the identifier and correlation model that links records across systems and partners so that traceability, recall response, and customer support are supportable across systems and partners.

• Own Master Data end to end — data model, source-of-record decisions, match and survivorship rules, governance and stewardship, data quality, and distribution — beginning with customer, treatment site, address, radioactive materials license, and contracting data, and extending to further domains as they are brought under management.

• Own the integration partner relationship in all directions — internal business and technical functions, enterprise and parent-company IT platform teams, manufacturing, logistics, radiopharmacy and distribution partners, and systems integrators — and lead the interface design working sessions where contracts are agreed, holding partners accountable to specifications and testing commitments.

• Serve as the technical voice in commercial and quality agreement discussions where data exchange obligations, service levels, and partner capability commitments are defined.

• Set the standard for what a complete interface specification contains, and hold delivery to it — integration pattern, delivery and retry behavior, authentication, latency budget, and defined success and failure outcomes — so that every interface is independently buildable and testable.

• Establish and enforce integration standards — canonical model alignment, interface versioning, reconciliation, and exception handling — and ensure risk-based validation, data integrity (ALCOA+), audit trail, 21 CFR Part 11 and Annex 11 compliance, change control, and inspection readiness, including the judgment of which components fall inside validated scope.

• Deliver on service level management with IT groups and vendor managed services — SLAs, monitoring and tracing, incident management, Disaster Recovery/Service Continuity — including the latency targets that time-critical dose fulfillment requires, and establish the operating model that sustains these solutions beyond launch.

• Establish reusable integration patterns, standards, and shared services so that each subsequent program and partner onboarding costs less than the last, rather than being solved again from scratch.

• Lead indirect reports, matrixed resources, and service providers while remaining personally hands-on in the technical detail, and manage new demand, vendor statements of work, and budgets.

Required Education & Experience:

• 8+ years IT experience in a regulated life sciences environment, including enterprise integration and/or master data delivery in a cGMP/GxP setting with validated interfaces and audited change control.

• Demonstrated ownership of integration architecture on a custom-built or hybrid platform, including build-versus-buy analysis across API management, messaging and event streaming, iPaaS, and MDM tooling (e.g. Reltio, Informatica, Veeva) within enterprise architecture constraints.

• Deep working knowledge of how asynchronous, message-based integration behaves in practice: delivery guarantees and the duplicate messages they produce, and idempotency key design so a message that arrives twice cannot create a second order.

• Proven design of message ordering so events are applied in the correct sequence, and of failure paths — dead-letter handling and replay, and compensating actions that unwind a flow already sent to an external partner — and of exception flows, not only happy-path flows.

• Experience managing interface contracts at scale: a schema registry as the single definition of each message, interface versioning and compatibility rules that allow an interface to change while a partner stays live, and interface testing with external counterparties.

• Experience integrating ERP (SAP) with manufacturing, laboratory, and quality systems (MES, LIMS, QMS) and with customer-facing platforms, including EDI and file-based partner exchange with counterparties at differing levels of digital maturity.

• Hands-on experience delivering integration and orchestration on AWS, including event routing and queueing (EventBridge, SQS), serverless and container compute (Lambda, Fargate), and API management — and experience integrating SAP through an enterprise integration platform such as webMethods, MuleSoft, or Boomi, including choosing the right SAP integration pattern per data object and the error handling, reprocessing, and reconciliation those patterns require.

• Experience implementing or operating Master Data Management — customer, account, site, product, or material — including golden record and hierarchy design.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Preferred: experience supporting an advanced therapy or short-shelf-life modality — targeted radiopharmaceuticals, cell and gene therapy, or a comparable patient-scheduled, time-critical product where supply is scheduled around an appointment rather than stocked.

• Preferred: experience taking a platform through a first launch rather than inheriting a running one, and experience building integration capability that was subsequently reused across programs. Working understanding of commercial pharmaceutical processes preferred.

• Preferred: some experience with hands-on data and integration engineering

• Proven technical leadership and management experience, including leading systems integrators and managed service vendors to committed outcomes. BS/MS Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or similar degree or equivalent experience.

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication. This is a visible, partner-facing leadership role rather than a back-office engineering role: convenes cross-functional and external working sessions, drives them to explicit decisions, and publishes the outcome.

• Able to argue an architecture position on the merits — presents options with honest tradeoffs, defends a recommendation to technical and non-technical audiences, and changes position on evidence rather than preference.

• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams in a regulated environment. Runs multiple concurrent integration workstreams across different functions with clear plans, decision logs, and dependable follow-through.

• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive strategic initiatives. Moves fluidly between executive summary and deep technical detail.

• Leads complex, multi-disciplinary projects including resource and budget allocation and operational leadership. Oversees deliverable product, sets vision and standards for work products, challenges teams.

• Ability to apply AI to improve team execution and decision‑making

• Requires strong influence and trust, resilience in demanding situations, and the ability to encourage calm and rational behavior in teams, including when a time-critical shipment or integration is at risk.

• Provides strategic feedback to vendors, synthesizes multiple analyses to solve broader business issues, and represents the discipline or function on program/project teams.

Physical Requirements:

• Periodic travel to other RayzeBio locations and to external partner sites.

We hire for skills and capabilities, not just credentials – if this role excites you, but doesn’t perfectly match your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
