Position Overview

The Project Coordinator joins a 20+ member project management team that is part of a 200+ person Global Program Management organization, with colleagues in Tucson, Aurora, Peoria, and Australia. This role manages project plans for multiple divisions in Decatur and supports high-visibility initiatives spanning engineering, operations, and supply chain, including New Product Introduction (NPI), Electrification, and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI). The breadth of this work offers strong networking and exposure across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and quality-check project plans in Microsoft Project

• Facilitate project control and project planning meetings

• Track and follow up on project risks, action items, and issues

• Present proposals, reports, and findings to stakeholders at all levels, including report-out meetings

• Participate in PMO staff meetings and collaborate with the team through email, Microsoft Teams, and in-person meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field

• 2–4 years of relevant experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Basic knowledge of the project life cycle

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Basic knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio; Microsoft Project experience preferred (training available)

• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills

Salary expectations: 70,000-82,500 per annual
