As a Technical Specialist I, you will implement and maintain the Enterprise’s central computer center systems, databases, network software, and hardware. In this role, you will ensure the availability of system, database, and network resources to support medical, education, and business application systems. You will support the backend infrastructure for Laboratory systems, enterprise-class storage, and end-user caregivers while resolving vulnerabilities and performing application upgrades. You will also support patching and automation using Tanium and maintain online service level agreements to ensure productivity and reliable system performance.
A caregiver in this role works remotely Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with rotating 24/7 on-call coverage approximately every six weeks.
To be considered for this position, caregivers must reside in Northeast Ohio.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Complete strategic and tactical planning.
- Perform analysis, evaluation and justification for additional database, system and network software.
- Develop relationships with outside organizations.
- Develop working relationships with database, system, and network software and hardware vendors.
- Maintain all database, system and network software packages to ensure compatibility, stability, and supportability.
- Manage relationships with other CCF organizations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related technology
- (Additional experience may offset degree requirement)
- Understand the importance of customer service and how to effectively use available resources to service ITD and the Enterprise
- Two years related central data processing experience
- Experience with advanced systems programming processes and system design
- Knowledge of applications programming and design, communications concepts and database administration and strategies
- Infrastructure-Server experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Scripting experience
- Experience with VMware or other hypervisor applications
- Experience with enterprise class storage
Physical Requirements:
- Typical physical demands include manual dexterity sufficient to operate basic office equipment. Occasionally lifts up to 75 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
