Mission Technology Lab Operations Manager
The Opportunity:

The Lab Operations Administrator is a core technical contributor and operator within a multidomain cyber and engineering lab environment. This role combines hands‑on infrastructure administration with solution development, automation engineering, and cross‑functional coordination to ensure the lab remains secure, resilient, operationally ready, and aligned with mission and client objectives. You will bring a strong technical foundation, the ability to design and automate cyber workflows, and the judgement to work independently on moderately complex tasks while contributing to broader capability development.

You Have:

- Experience with modern compute and networking environments, including administering and troubleshooting virtualization platforms, network security devices, operating systems, databases, and cloud services
- Experience with enterprise‑grade monitoring, asset visibility, configuration management, and security platforms
- Experience supporting capability development and demonstration environments, and coordinating across teams and stakeholders to support aligned, efficient, and collaborative project execution
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks for extended enterprise environments such as SP 800‑53 Rev. 5, including vulnerability management, patch cycles, and configuration baselines
- Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows operating systems
- Ability to manage technical documentation such as inventories, slick sheets, access lists, dependency maps, and configuration artifacts, and quickly learn mission‑specific tools
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for broad audiences
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- Security+ certification

Nice If You Have:

- Experience with agile workflows, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices such as Ansible, Kubernetes, or GitHub Enterprise, and automation efforts supporting modernization
- Experience with configuration and asset tracking platforms for network infrastructure devices and related systems
- Possession of strong written and verbal communication skills
- Cloud certifications

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
