Why work at Concerto? What is in it for you?

Help build and shape Concerto’s growing data engineering function while strengthening an in-house enterprise data platform that supports clinical, financial, payroll, and operational decision-making. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on technical leadership with team development and cross-functional partnership.

Who Are We?

Concerto Renal Services is an industry leader in sub-acute hemodialysis within a skilled nursing facility and/or long-term care facility. We are a rapidly expanding business with a simple mission: reimagining dialysis care, one community at a time. Our model focuses on ensuring those with end-stage renal disease receive the best possible care through a more convenient, centralized, continuous care model.

Why is this Role Essential?

The Manager of Data Engineering is responsible for the design, development, reliability, and ongoing management of Concerto’s enterprise data warehouse and data integration processes.

As Concerto continues to strengthen its recently transitioned in-house data warehouse, this leader will expand platform capabilities, establish scalable data practices, and build a team to support the function long term.

This role oversees how data is collected, organized, secured, and delivered across the organization, ensuring leaders have reliable data to support patient care and business operations.

What Will You Do?

•  Lead the continued development and optimization of the organization’s layered data architecture.

•  Develop, review, and maintain data integration and automation processes using Python and Azure-based tools.

•  Oversee connections to source systems, including clinical, payroll, general ledger, and other business applications.

•  Establish and maintain data quality standards, including validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and issue-resolution procedures.

•  Ensure data processes comply with HIPAA requirements and company security policies, including protected health information, access controls, and credential management.

•  Partner with technical and non-technical department leaders to gather requirements, prioritize requests, translate business needs into data solutions, and manage delivery timelines.

•  Recruit, train, develop, and supervise data engineering staff as the function grows.

•  Establish and enforce standards for code quality, documentation, source control, deployment, and change management.

•  Support the continued evolution of Concerto’s data platform, including evaluation and adoption of tools and practices that improve reliability, efficiency, and scalability.

•  An effective communicator who can partner with both technical teams and business leaders.

•  A collaborative leader who enjoys developing people and building a high-performing data engineering function.

What’s Required?

•  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

•  7+ years of experience in data engineering, database development, or a related field.
