Job Summary

The Supply Chain department manages all aspects of procurement for The Aerospace Corporation. As a Strategic Sourcing Buyer Level IV – Indirect Goods and Services , you will leverage your expertise in strategic sourcing, buying, supplier management, and category leadership to deliver competitive value across multiple business areas. You will partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive operational efficiency, manage capital and operating costs, and support innovation while ensuring compliance with corporate and government procurement requirements.

The selected candidate will be required to work a minimum of 4 days onsite at our facility in El Segundo, CA.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead the sourcing and buying of indirect goods and services—including construction, facilities maintenance/repair, and capital projects—to drive competitive value, supplier performance, and operational excellence across the enterprise
- Own and manage a diverse book of spend across indirect categories, identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiency, and innovation
- Evaluate and improve sourcing activities, analyzing supplier performance, market conditions, and cost structures to identify competitive advantages
- Conduct formal market analysis to assess market trends, behaviors, and cost drivers—including construction and facilities market dynamics—to support sourcing strategy development
- Develop negotiations strategies, contract structures, and pricing models to ensure best-value outcomes and risk mitigation
- Administer sourcing events (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs), lead supplier selection, and manage negotiations and award processes in alignment with category strategies
- Forecast and plan product and service demand for assigned categories, construction/facilities projects, and capital expenditures, ensuring alignment with business needs
- Implement procedures and tools to continuously evaluate supplier performance, cost competitiveness, and deliverability
- Drive managing vendor relations post-award through Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), continuous improvement initiatives, and innovation across assigned categories

What You Need to be Successful

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field required
- Minimum of (6) years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or supplier/vendor management required
- Demonstrated experience sourcing and buying for construction and facilities-related categories (e.g., maintenance, repair, operations, capital projects, Job Order Contracts) strongly preferred
- Exceptional skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for efficient document preparation, data analysis, and communication
- In-depth understanding and hands-on experience managing the full procurement lifecycle—from sourcing strategy development to effective vendor relations management
- Proven ability to design, implement, and sustain rigorous procurement schedules
- Strong financial acumen to craft competitive pricing strategies, perform robust bid evaluations, and manage capital budgets with precision

- Proven track record in the aerospace sector, with experience navigating regulatory/quality standards
- Demonstrated ability to manage strategic purchasing agreements across indirect categories—including construction, facilities MRO, capital projects, IT, HR services, travel, and professional consulting

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.  The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below.  Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$107,000.00 - $160,500.00
