About this role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and growth-minded Power BI Business Intelligence Analyst and Developer (Junior-to-Mid level) to join our team. In this role, you will focus on turning well-structured datasets and business requirements into clear, impactful, and high-performance visual dashboards and reports. You will work closely with pre-modeled data sources, utilizing advanced DAX and Power Query to build complex calculations and dynamic data transformations. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to leverage modern AI coding assistants (such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Codex) to accelerate your development workflows for DAX optimization and Power Query scripting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Report & Dashboard Development: Design, build, and deploy intuitive, interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that effectively communicate key business metrics.

- Advanced Calculation & Transformation: Write efficient DAX expressions for complex measures, calculations, and data aggregations, and use Power Query to refine and shape data inputs.

- AI-Assisted Development: Integrate AI tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Codex) into your daily workflow to accelerate report building, troubleshoot DAX queries, and streamline Power Query transformations.

- Data Collaboration: Collaborate closely with data engineering/modeling peers who provide core datasets, ensuring your semantic layers and visual outputs meet user requirements.

- Optimization & Maintenance: Monitor report performance, optimize DAX and visual rendering times, and maintain existing reporting assets as business needs evolve.

- User Enablement: Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into actionable, visually compelling solutions.

Requirements:

- Proven experience developing production-ready dashboards and reports in Power BI, with a strong command of Power Query.

- Solid experience writing DAX measures, calculated columns, and managing row-level security (RLS) or complex evaluation contexts.

- Strong foundational knowledge of SQL for data extraction and validation, alongside scripting familiarity (Python or PowerShell) for data pipeline tasks or automation.

- Strong capability to translate raw business metrics and requirements into clean, user-friendly visual narratives.

- Openness and enthusiasm for leveraging AI development assistants (such as Copilot, Claude, or Codex) to boost productivity and code quality.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

- 1–3 years of hands-on experience focused specifically on Power BI report development and business intelligence analysis.
