Overview

Helio Health’s Child & Adolescent Clinic is looking to hire school-based therapist for the following school district: Fayetteville-Manlius

The School Based Licensed Mental Health Therapist (Licensed Counselor) will provide mental health counseling services to students experiencing symptoms including anxiety, depression, attention issues, problematic behaviors, trauma, substance use issues, issues with family and interpersonal functioning, and more. This position serves the two middle schools in the Fayetteville-Manlius district, Wellwood Middle School and Eagle Hill Middle School.

This position is classified as Full-Time employment with Helio Health. School-Based Clinicians work full-time schedules during the 10-month school year (September through June) and may elect to work per diem hours during July and August.

In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, Full-Time Licensed Counselors are eligible for a Sign-On Incentive between $4,000-$8,000 depending upon licensure!

Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00/per hour based on permit/licensure

Responsibilities

- Maintain a caseload at assigned school-based satellite site(s) and provide evidence-based behavioral health assessment, counseling, and treatment services to children, adolescents, and their families.

- Complete all aspects of the clinical process, including screening, intake and orientation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, crisis intervention, care coordination, referrals, patient and family education, case management, and discharge planning.

- Collaborate effectively with school personnel, families, community providers, and Helio Health staff to support patient treatment goals while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and professional boundaries.

- Respond to behavioral health crises and coordinate interventions in accordance with program, school district, and agency protocols.

- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation and case records in accordance with agency policy, state and federal regulations, and payor requirements.

- Participate as an active member of the Child & Adolescent Services multidisciplinary treatment team, including attendance at staff meetings, supervision, and case consultations.

- Assist with the training of staff and student interns as assigned.

- Maintain productivity and service delivery expectations established by the program.

- Participate in outreach, engagement, and other program development activities that support access to behavioral health services within assigned school districts.

Qualifications

- Must hold a valid professional License (including but not limited to LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT, etc.)

Limited Permit (LP) Licenses are acceptable.

- Master’s Degree required.

- Two years employment experience in the Human Services field preferred.
