The CAAD Appraisal Specialist is responsible for completing timely and accurate vehicle appraisals using established company guidelines, approved data sources, and purpose‑built appraisal applications. This role reviews vehicle details, condition information, market data, and supporting documentation to determine appropriate appraisal values that support inventory acquisition decisions. The Appraisal Specialist manages a daily appraisal queue, ensures accuracy and completeness of appraisal records, and communicates findings or exceptions to internal partners as needed. The position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, production‑oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities

- Remotely complete vehicle appraisals using established company guidelines, approved data sources, and purpose ‑ built appraisal applications.
- Review and analyze detailed vehicle information, condition reports, images, history reports, and supporting documentation to determine accurate appraisal values.
- Utilize multiple internal and external data sources, including market data and comparable listings, to support valuation decisions.
- Manage a daily appraisal queue, ensuring appraisals are completed accurately, consistently, and within required service ‑ level expectations.
- Apply sound judgment to identify potential risk factors, inconsistencies, or missing information and escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Ensure appraisal records and supporting documentation are complete, accurate, and properly entered into required systems.
- Communicate appraisal findings, questions, exceptions, or concerns clearly and professionally to CAAD Buyers, Pricing Specialists, and other internal partners.
- Maintain consistency and adherence to appraisal standards across all assigned work.
- Participate in scheduled Microsoft Teams meetings and other required collaboration or calibration sessions.
- Handle appraisal ‑ related escalations in accordance with established procedures and approval guidelines.
- Maintain current knowledge of vehicle values, market trends, appraisal best practices, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Properly represent the company in all internal and external interactions with accuracy, professionalism, and integrity.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications

- Must meet company’s requirements for employment.
- Two years of experience in a dealership position.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Excellent communication skills, including customer service and customer care.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Strong customer service skills.

- Prolonged periods of personal computer usage and data entry.
