Description:
Onsite Insurance Risk Analyst
Marsh is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Risk Analyst to join our Specialty Insurance Operations team working offsite with one of our large clients in Detroit, MI.
The successful candidate will coordinate insurance documentation, maintain accurate records, manage administrative workflows, support business continuity activities, and serve as a responsive partner to internal stakeholders. This role requires sound judgment, strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
We will count on you to:
- Prepare and process certificates of insurance and proof-of-auto-insurance letters.
- Maintain policy and binder logs, track outstanding documentation, and coordinate follow-up with brokers after policy expiration.
- Support policy reviews by completing standard templates and organizing final documents in designated repositories.
- Maintain accurate records and lead annual document-inventory reviews, including shared-drive cleanup and retention of final work products.
- Coordinate business continuity activities, including maintaining Fusion records, attending quarterly meetings, and supporting annual plan maintenance and testing.
- Submit and monitor ServiceNow requests through completion.
- Maintain team website content, shared information resources, and the team events calendar.
- Update and distribute weekly Insurance Risk Management tracking logs and communications, including attendance and participation tracking.
- Coordinate team travel, expense reports, monthly tracking worksheets, and related distributions.
- Coordinate quarterly financial presentations, calendar invitations, and conference room reservations.
- Coordinate floor-related work orders and verify completed requests.
- Provide additional administrative and project support as needed.
What you need to have:
- Relevant experience in commercial insurance, risk management, or a related field (5+ years preferred).
- Experience working in a professional environment focused on administrative, operational, or business-support.
- High school diploma (required); college degree (preferred).
- Knowledge of insurance practices, documentation, and administrative processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn enterprise systems and document-management tools.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong follow-through, problem-solving skills, and responsiveness to internal clients and stakeholders.
What makes you stand out?
- Experience supporting corporate insurance, commercial insurance, risk management, brokerage, underwriting, claims, or policy administration activities.
- Familiarity with insurance policies, binders, certificates of insurance, renewals, brokers, and related documentation.
- Associate degree or coursework in business administration, insurance, risk management, or a related discipline.
- Experience working directly with a client or in a consultant capacity.
