Position Summary

The Time Administration Technician II is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of employee timekeeping and attendance programs. This position serves as a subject matter resource for employees, supervisors, managers, and business partners by ensuring accurate time reporting, leave tracking, accrual administration, and compliance with company policies, labor agreements, and applicable regulations.

The role requires strong analytical, customer service, and problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve complex timekeeping issues, support payroll processing, perform audits, and partner with Human Resources, Payroll, Labor Relations, Benefits, Compliance, and Information Technology teams to ensure accurate and timely workforce data management.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and support company timekeeping and workforce management systems.
- Review, audit, and process employee time records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and labor agreements.
- Monitor daily timecard activity and partner with employees and supervisors to resolve missing, incorrect, or exception time entries.
- Support attendance tracking, absence management, vacation administration, sick leave, and accrual programs.
- Review, validate, and process time-related transactions including schedule changes, overtime, premium pay, shift differentials, and leave requests.
- Investigate and resolve complex timekeeping discrepancies, system issues, and employee inquiries.
- Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and reconciliation of time and attendance records.
- Perform audits and reconciliations of timekeeping, attendance, and payroll data to identify errors, trends, and compliance concerns.
- Generate, analyze, and distribute standard and ad hoc reports related to attendance, overtime, leave usage, and workforce metrics.
- Support administration of collective bargaining agreement provisions related to attendance, overtime, scheduling, and paid time off.
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable wage and hour regulations, company policies, and timekeeping procedures.
- Participate in testing, validation, and implementation of system upgrades, enhancements, and process improvements.
- Serve as a resource for employees, supervisors, and timekeepers by providing training and guidance on timekeeping processes and system functionality.
- Collaborate with Payroll, Human Resources, Benefits, Labor Relations, Compliance, and IT to resolve issues and improve operational effectiveness.
- Document procedures, maintain records, and ensure compliance with auditing and record retention requirements.
- Protect confidential employee and organizational information and maintain the highest standards of data integrity.

Qualifications

Required

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in timekeeping, payroll administration, workforce administration, human resources operations, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of timekeeping and attendance administration practices.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues independently.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Must successfully pass company Support and Administrative Selective System (SASS) testing.

Preferred

- Experience with Empower, Kronos (UKG), Workday, SAP, Oracle HCM, or other workforce management systems.
- Experience supporting union-represented workforces and interpreting labor agreement provisions.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and wage and hour compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting audits and reconciliations of timekeeping and payroll data.
- Associate's degree in Business, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field.
